5 months agoBriefly interacted with Claire Warren. My company is relocating me and requires two sales price estimates from realtors before selecting one to work with. I had a meeting with Claire and the realtor that we "worked" with on buying our house. Worked with is in quotes because we bought new construction and they didn't do anything. I was initially really impressed with Claire from talking to her on the phone and how she answered my questions. She asked if I had worked with the other realtor before to which I said yes, but also explained that I hadn't chosen to work with him and it depended on their different strategies. We set up a meeting a few days later for her to come by and look at the house. The night before our appointment, she TEXTED me to cancel saying that "since I had chosen the other real estate agent, her company was not going to follow through" and she canceled. Her company sent my relocation agent the same sentiment that Claire had passed on I had already chosen the other realtor. 1) That was dishonest. I was very aware when talking to her of expressing that I hadn't chosen an agent. And I was leaning towards her from our initial conversation. 2) Canceling at 6PM the night before a 9AM meeting is incredibly unprofessional. I had a newborn baby at the time and had hired special (and expensive) help to ensure I was available and could give Claire my full attention. It was too late to cancel my hired help so I ended up paying for childcare due to Claire and her company's complete lack of professionalism and disrespect for other people's time. My relocation agent was shocked that this company would behave in such a way and that usually realtors are excited to step up and compete for your business. Clearly Claire didn't want to have to work harder or compete against another agent which is not an attitude I want in a realtor anyways. Out of all the other realtors in the Houston area, do yourself a favor and work with a company that respects people.
