The Coptic Church of Alexandria was established in the first century when Saint Mark the Apostle and writer of the second gospel brought Christianity to Egypt during the reign of the Roman emperor Nero thirty some years after the Lord’s ascension.
Christianity spread throughout Egypt within half a century of Saint Mark’s arrival in Alexandria. The Coptic Church, which is now more than nineteen centuries old, was the subject of many prophecies in the Old Testament.

5 years agoWhat a beautiful spiritual experience. Father Angelios and his congregation are very welcoming and down to earth. Everyone in the church just seemed so humble and willing to share any helpful ideas or information. When I left I felt as if I have known them for years and felt as I was part of a large family. Absolutely love this Church
