Ms. Akam has been practicing law for three years and is licensed to practice in Arizona and Washington. Asmahan practices family, dependency, business and immigration law. She currently volunteers with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project as a pro bono attorney and participates in the Washington State Bar Association’s Moderate Means Program attorney panel.
Before joining the legal profession, Asmahan obtained a master of science degree in Instructional Design and Technology. She then spent the next couple of years working as an instructional designer, where she designed, developed and implemented e-learning offerings for both corporations and educational institutions.
Asmahan enjoys solving problems and cares deeply about serving and meeting her clients’ needs. She is a zealous advocate and a true ally to her clients. She is also a strong believer in each client’s right to understand the law applicable to his or her case and be an active participant in the process.
