Basbussa

A festive middle eastern restaurant. We came here during the week and quite early so it was fairly calm. We got a few different items: Moroccan cigars, crispy cauliflower, spicy chicken tenders, ribeye steak, schnitzel. And, a salad that was delicious - I can’t remember the name and I can’t find on the menu, but that one was so good! Everything was great and tasty. A lot of different flavors, spices. Whether you come for the food or the ambiance, a nice place to visit for a unique experience.

Basbussa truly deserves five stars! The waiter provided excellent service, enhancing our dining experience. The lively atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment, creating a vibrant setting. Now, onto the food – the Moroccan Cigars were a delightful surprise, with a perfect blend of crunchiness and moist, flavorful filling. The hanging steak was a culinary masterpiece, leaving a lasting impression. And let's talk about the sticky date pudding – it's beyond words, simply out of this world! The added touch of a Birthday show with sparklers and a birthday sign made the occasion extra special and fun. Basbussa is a must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience with delectable dishes and fantastic ambiance.

We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated and another 30 minutes to receive water Assuming the water was freshly squeezed from a nearby well waiting that long. The short-rib flatbread was quite good, and the cauliflower was great. The sushi and drinks were also excellent. The ambiance was lovely, with a club-style vibe. It is costly, but that’s what you pay for such an atmosphere. They added a 22% gratuity, which seems excessive, but given that it's 2024, I’m considering identifying as a 22% tip myself! I would return if I won the lottery or sought a great drink or a Jewish club.

Been there for my first time on Thursday. Was invite by AP. From the service, food, drinks, music and live entertainment were amazing! Definitely will be back and adding to one of my favorite places in LA. I’ll say it’s definitely an experience to have!
