5 years agoPremier educational institution (K-12) doing more with less for the community. The dedication of the teachers who stick around is commendable. Understandably, some teachers find greener pastures elsewhere. The myopic but vocal parents who are constantly fighting pay raises for the teachers (well below Garland ISD) should send their kids elsewhere (sad but must be said). The IB program is ramping along a proven path. Truly means needed families can discuss their needs with the umbrella organization in a confidential manner without knowledge to the school administrator for subsidies.

7 years agoWe came to this school close to 8 years ago. It has been a life changing experience for us. Here there is a sense of community for everyone. There is diversity, kindness, knowledge, friendships and a real care for others. You don't have to be popular to get a helping hand. There is forgiveness. I once experienced a student that did some horrible HORRIBLE things but he was treated with kindness, fairness and given the honor to lead a khutba on Friday. It was a special moment for everyone, especially his family since they didn't or believe he could deliever such a beautiful message. He never thought he could be deliver the khutba for his school. Alhamduallah. The school goes from Pre K to 12 grade. Some students and their families have been there for year. When things don't go right, and life always gives us something a challenge, they come to this school. This school that treats everyone with respect, lends a hand and a hug to everyone. I have seen parents and families leave thinking the school has done wrong by them, and they come back. They come back because here they know their kids are safe, and here they know we don't have it perfect but at least we try, and here, no matter what they have done they will be welcomed back. It requires a big heart to do this. I will write more, stay tuned.

5 years agoGreat school with outstanding academic programs, a friendly environment for parents and students alike, and an in-depth understanding of Islamic beliefs and values. Enrolled 2 students here and they both enjoy the school and are eager to learn from their teachers. The enrollment process is extremely easy and the staff members are all friendly and welcoming. It is an understatement to say that the BHA staff treat you as their family, and always do what is in the best interest of the students. I highly recommend enrolling your children here to ensure a bright future for them.

5 years agoI wanted my children in an education with strong Islamic values, good education, and safe environment and the school has exceeded my expectations. I have never had an issue that the school did not attempt to resolve. Yes, there have been some changes over the years but the core values of the school have not changed. I never have to worry about my children as their teachers and the admin make the right choice for their safety and success. Also, as a teacher at the school I am always supported when It comes to providing my students with quality education. The administration focuses on the students and their learning. We individualize our planning to meet students' needs at different levels and cater to their interests. Our teachings are research-based and statistics show that they are effective. Students' scores on MAP and STAAR tests have proven that our students continue to grow and show great performance over the years. I am lucky to be part of this school as a staff and a parent.

4 years agoExcellent school. I have 4 kids and they are very happy with the teachers, the staff and the leadership team. I honestly read some reviews and feel that is not fair for anyone to bash the school, you always need to visit with the staff and get your issues resolved. I love the school and the level of education my kids are getting. I highly recommend the school to anyone who wants his kids to get nothing but the best.
