De Babel

Oh my, what an awesome experience! When we entered the store we were immediately greeted Aunt told that we can ask any questions we have about the menu. They answered all of our questions and were very friendly. We ordered our food to go, and I'll tell you what...this was the best Middle Eastern food that I have ever had! Hands down my favorite place. The shop itself was very clean, organized, and cute. But the food was well enjoyed at home.

I've been eager to try De Babel ever since seeing it listed in the top 100, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The gyro beef and lamb was phenomenal--tender, flavorful, and generously portioned, making every bite a delight. The meat Kafta was equally delicious, packed with authentic flavors that transported me straight to the Mediterranean. My wife enjoyed the chicken shawarma, though she found the pickles a bit too sour and would ask for them on the side next time. Even with that small note, the dish was well-executed and satisfying. The laid-back atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff added to the overall experience. De Babel is the kind of place where you feel welcomed and leave planning your next visit. I've lived in Scottsdale for 7 years now and have always had a hard time finding a good place to eat out. Since De Babel opened, it has become my family's go-to spot. The food is nothing less than amazingly delicious, and the team is so nice and welcoming. My kids love the Tahini ice cream – it's creamy and has a unique flavor that's hard to find elsewhere. We're obsessed with the mixed grill, which is generously portioned and packed with flavor, and freshness easily feeding our entire family. The hummus is just perfect, smooth and rich. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, Go eat there and thank me later!

I was visiting Arizona for 1 week and was looking for healthy food options. Looked at the reviews and decided to try it. This place did not disappoint. I ate this 3 nights out of my week vacation. They were so nice and welcoming. Such amazing people. They even gave me a special carrying bag. Food is so fresh! This is the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. I wish we had a place like this where I live in Boston, MA.

So glad I discovered this middle eastern gem!! ❤️ I got the gyros with fattoush salad which was absolutely delicious! Also the bamieh are so good! But the best part of my meal was the pita bread! Nice and thick and warm and fresh.
