Dr. Malhas represents clients in international business transactions, negotiations, investment immigration, and private and public offerings. Dr. Malhas successfully formed multi-million dollar global partnerships between entrepreneurs, foreign investors, public and private investments, and venture capitalists.
Dr. Malhas has advised hundreds of foreign investors on EB-5 investment immigration, Business and Employment visas, Treaty Base and other appropriate visas for business expansion in the United States and joint ventures while working with law firms in Maryland and Washington D.C. as a foreign associate, and in Washington State as a Legal Counsel. Dr. Malhas has advised firms in and outside the United States on policy and strategy development, legislative analysis, and expansion in U.S. and international markets. Dr. Malhas successfully formed and negotiated multi-million dollar global partnerships between entrepreneurs, foreign investment, and venture capitalists.
Dr. Malhas has been an international legal consultant for the United Nations and the World Bank for the Middle East and the GCC countries for over a decade. She has also worked with U.S. and foreign organizations and law firms, and U.S. Department of State on projects in New York and Washington DC, and has published papers and co-authored and edited numerous publications.
Dr. Malhas is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law, obtained a Masters of International Law from American University Washington College of Law, with coursework in Paris, Geneva, & Brussels, and a Bachelor of Laws from University of Jordan School of Law. Dr. Malhas was honored with a Doctoral Degree from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan. She was awarded a certificate for Legislative Drafting and Policy Making from the International Law Institute & Georgetown Law Center. Dr. Malhas speaks English and Arabic.
