As the daughter of immigrants, Ms. Sokhn understands first-hand how immigration can change lives for the better. Ms. Sokhn has helped hundreds of individuals and families in the greater San Francisco area since founding the firm in 2005, earning her the respect and admiration of many satisfied clients.
Ms. Sokhn received her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University. She has been admitted to the bar by the Supreme Court of California, U.S. District Court Northern District of California, U.S. District Court Eastern District of California, U.S. Court of Appeals For the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court Northern District of Florida. Ms. Sokhn graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of San Francisco, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies.
Prior to founding Sokhn Law, Ms. Sokhn served as an associate at an immigration firm in the San Francisco Bay Area where she not only represented immigration clients, she managed the firm’s full criminal defense case load and led their Federal appellate department.
Ms. Sokhn is active in the local community, participating in many pro bono and professional activities which enrich her passion for giving back to communities and causes in which she believes. An active member in the Santa Clara Valley chapter of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Ms. Sokhn served as liaison to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office and as representative of the New Members Division from 2010 through 2011. She also served as the coordinator for the 2010 AILA California Conference.
