Dr. Abbaa Sarhan MD

Dr. Sarhan is definitely a doctor who cares about the complete experience and wellbeing of her patients. I initially consulted with her a few years ago when she was at another practice, and at that time I wasn’t ready to move into treatment. When I was ready to proceed, I specifically sought her out because I wanted a doctor who was not only competent and knowledgeable but also empathetic. For me the IVF experience was tough physically and emotionally but under Dr. Sarhan’s care I never felt alone or just a number. My concerns were listened to and taken into consideration and reflected in the care I received. My first IVF cycle led to pregnancy and an early miscarriage but even in pregnancy loss I received compassionate care and support from Dr. Sarhan and the nurses through the loss. Dr. Sarhan’s ability to connect with my needs as a patient in addition to managing the fertility treatment makes her a wonderful doctor. I would do another IVF cycle under her care.

Dr. Abba Sarhan is the embodiment of expertise, kindness, empathy, and intelligence. A true ally in our fertility journey. She was always available to respond directly to my questions on the latest research and intervention options, and explained the advantages, disadvantages, and cost implications of possible scenarios, enabling us to make informed decisions regarding our care. Because of the structure of GIVF, I was able to see Dr. Sarhan throughout my IVF cycle and she handled four out of five of my retrievals. This is rare because in most fertility clinics, a patient could have a brand new doctor for the retrieval, a doctor who is not familiar with your case and your needs. I highly recommend Dr. Sarhan for reproductive endocrinology and infertility services. Additionally, in between cycles at Genetics & IVF, I received care at a fertility clinic in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Sarhan was supportive of our decision to do a few cycles in Spain and coordinated effortlessly with the medical team in Spain. For reference, I received care from Dr. Sarhan at Genetics & IVF Institute in 2023 to 2024.
