a year agoI went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars. Iโve been to this office twice now and been seen once. I would rate the front office staff a solid zero. Two visits to the office and Iโve been berated to the point of feeling uncomfortable and anxious. I really didnโt even want to come back after the first time. It took me 2 mos to finally make the 2nd appointment. This time I was seen. Dr Yonan was abrupt, but they were also on time. I understand you canโt have it both ways, taking longer than needed in your appointment and also staying on schedule. I will say I felt confident about Dr. Yonan from this one visit. But again, more badgering and poor treatment from the front office when I tried to schedule my follow up. They are very arrogant, snippy, and belittling at the front desk. No communication skills at all. They sent me to Simon Med for an x-ray and my nerves are still jumpy. I wish there was a way to see Dr. Yonan but bypass the front staff. They make me not want to come back at all. So Iโm left considering how attached am I to Dr. Yonan at this point? Maybe I should seek another, more polite office sooner than later so my discomfort with returning doesnโt interfere further with my care. On a side note, they couldnโt be nicer at the SimonMed.

2 years agoI don't understand the bad reviews especially the one about someone being overweight. Maybe they should have gotten a second opinion before writing the review. I think Dr. Yonan is the most gifted doctor I have ever met. 14 years ago my son had an issue after gall bladder surgery and they couldn't get him breathing again. Dr. Yonan was very honest and told me the chances of his recovery were minimal but he would give it all he had. And in my opinion he saved Jason's life. 5 months later he was home and ok until last December when he suddenly got pneumonia and was rushed at midnight to the hospital. I kept thinking on the way to ICU I wish Dr Yonan was here and when I got to Jason's room Dr Yonan's name was on the wall. A much tougher situation this time but he saved Jason again and I will be eternally grateful for his expertise with the help of God of course. Json is still not home yet but it is the fault of the facility he was sent to after ICU - they were horrible. Now I have had him transferred to a facility in Peoria and he is doing very well.

a year agoDr Yonan and Camille Conger are great. The problem is the front office staff. A medication was sent in for me that was well over $300. I called multiple times and left messages . Two weeks later I received a call back. When you go in the girls up front are more concerned about watching videos on their phones and discussing plans then they are about helping patients. Itโs awful.

a year agoHe was one of the worst, I don't even want to say doctor. He was rude and dismissive. He told me that I was so fat, that if I even walked 10 miles a day for the rest of my life, it wouldn't make a difference. He did nothing to help me. Since then I have a new fantastic pulmonologist and have lost over a 150lbs.

5 years agoI have never experienced such an unprofessional, rude person as Dr Yonan. I was admitted to the hospital after he asked me if I wanted to go. Youโre the doctor you should know!! I was having shortness of breath, chest pain and hard to speak. This specialist told me to drive myself which I did and was very difficult not to mention, scary. During my 5 day stay, I seen Dr Yonan twice. First visit, he stood in the corner of my room picking at his fingernails and told me my problem was anxiety. Of course Iโm anxious when Iโm fighting to breath. Second and last visit, he didnโt listen to my lungs but told me to walk around the nurse station without any assistance. When I got back to my room, I was gasping for air. He told the nurse I can go home. When I asked what was wrong with me, his answer was, โyou are psychosomaticโ. When I asked him to clarify, he said โitโs in your headโ and walked out. The nurse said she has never heard a doctor be that rude. I am reporting him to the board and also my insurance. He gives the medical field a bad name and I am paying him for the verbal abuse. Not ok and I went to him asking for help. It will never happen again from this inconsiderate person who took an oath to help any and all patients, be professional and treat each person in a caring manner Please do not put yourself in that situation. Bad news is, this man did not wash his hands in my presence either visit to my room or after picking his nails which have tons of bacteria. Where did he get a license?????
