I was brought to Mass General Hospital for a sudden urgent procedure. I cannot say enough good things about the doctors, nurses, radiology team, and catering. I was never worried because I knew I was in great hands. The nurses on Lunder 8th floor were professional and took great care of me. They explained everything they were about to do. The doctor did an extremely impressive job with the delicate procedure. I was informed about the procure before hand. I would highly recommend this doctor. The Anesthesia team explained everything to me before the procedure also. They asked if I had anesthesia before and what side effects I had so they could make this time more comfortable. I would highly recommend Mass General Hospital without hesitation.

I’m glad I did not have a life-threatening emergency, otherwise I would have died in there. Waited for 5 hours just to go home without anything because of their lack of organization and coordination, one nurse told me when I told her that we were informed we’d only be in here for 15 minutes for oxygen is that I “should be grateful, we make people wait here for 6 hours to get a pill.” No thank you, from an agitated and careless staff, to below average facilities, I’d rather stay home and suffer with dignity. It was a complete waste of time and money.

This hospital should be shut down and closed immediately. Not one staff member has an ounce of care for patients. Wild animals receive better and more timely care. The bathrooms and facilities are absolutely filthy and unkempt. The bathrooms consist of flooded toilets and feces laying all around for hours. Emergency room patients are expected to wait for 14-18 hours just for an update and then told it could be days before they are seen. What a disgrace. How this facility is still operating should be under investigation. This is a zoo with no leadership or organization. I would give it negative 100 stars if possible.

I was in a car accident. I went to emergency room. It was so crowded that I had a bed in the hall. The nurse I had was great. But the noise and the swearing from the other nurses was horrible. Nobody is there because they want entertainment. People are there because they are sick. The nurses and doctors had absolutely no respect or consideration for the patients. They asked me if I needed something for my pain and it took them over an hour to bring me Tylenol. Also when they spoke to you everyone around you heard what they said. I saw the security take a man to the floor like they were arresting a gunman. I don't feel like I got the help I needed. I also seen some things in my chart that we not discussed at all. They really need to clean up their act.
