Dr. Shammout is originally from Syria, he was born to an OB/GYN mother and witnessed how remarkable it was to help a lot of women and have a direct impact on their lives. He has been practicing for 9 years and coming to San Ramon to stay close to most of his family in the Bay Area. Dr. Shammout is excited to provide the best care and be part of this community. He believes in empowering women at all stages of their life with the most evidence based medicine to make the right decision at the right time. With an excellent training and extraordinary bedside manner, Dr. Shammout is always willing to go far and beyond to take care of his patients.

3 months agoI am pregnant with my first baby and am a psychologist and professor. I wanted to find a doctor that could really support me beyond what I could research on my own. I cannot even begin to explain how knowledgeable and reassuring Dr. Shammout has been. My husband and I are so thrilled to have found him. He is up to date on the science and has amazing bedside manner. We look forward to every single appointment. We would travel far and wide to be taken care by him and his staff! They go above and beyond.

5 months agoDr. Shammout and the nurses were very caring through out my wife's pregnancy. We are very grateful that we found him. My wife's pregnancy was very smooth from the beginning to delivery and literally didn't have any complaints. If you need more details, I am happy to help as this is one of the major events of the life, feel free to message me. Our PCP has recommended Dr. Shammout saying that he is very good, and dealt with someone's complicated pregnancy recently, so we chose him as our OB/GYN. He's very enthusiastic and happy always. The team of nurses at San Ramon used to follow up with us if we skip any of the appointments for non-stress test, they insist us come and later explain it's good for the baby even though we have a feeling that the frequent visits are unnecessary. The entire delivery was very smooth, nurses did a great job. My wife's pains were induced, and the epidural nurse also did a great job.
