Dr. Shammout is originally from Syria, he was born to an OB/GYN mother and witnessed how remarkable it was to help a lot of women and have a direct impact on their lives. He has been practicing for 9 years and coming to San Ramon to stay close to most of his family in the Bay Area. Dr. Shammout is excited to provide the best care and be part of this community. He believes in empowering women at all stages of their life with the most evidence based medicine to make the right decision at the right time. With an excellent training and extraordinary bedside manner, Dr. Shammout is always willing to go far and beyond to take care of his patients.

5 months agoDr. Shammout is very professional and has a therapeutic personality. He really made me feel comfortable and he listened attentively when I answered his questions. He is also honest and considerate when he said that he didnโt want me to go through tests that are not necessary anymore when I told him that my oncologist already did them. I am not used to a male gynecologist but Dr. Shammout made my initial visit a good experience.

3 months agoI'm OBSESSED with Dr. Shammout and his team! They're amazing!!! I have a high risk pregnancy and he's so patient and so helpful. He puts you at ease and is soooo supportive. He goes above and beyond! After having a horrible experience with a past doctor (not related to this practice) I'm so glad I found Shammout. This pregnancy would be sooo much harder without him. He's also delivered a few of my other friends high risk pregnancies with amazing success. I can't wait to give birth because of him, I know I'm in good hands no doubt. I've never had such great VIP service from any other doctor before. Highly recommend !!

a month agoDr. Shammout is amazingly kind and very skilled. I went to see him for severe abnormal uterine bleeding and ended up needing a hysterectomy. He was patient with me, answered all of my questions and has supported me throughout the recovery process. I am lucky to have him as my doctor. I also appreciate their online system as it allows me to ask non-urgent questions and get a response within a day or 2. This was especially helpful when I forgot to ask some of my pre-surgery questions during appointments because I was so nervous. I am so grateful for Dr. Shammout. Update: my daughter is also now a patient of Dr. Shammout and has had a similarly positive experience with both him and his overall staff!

Itโs hard to find an excellent doctor with a great bedside manner. He doesnโt rush you - instead you feel like he has all the time in the world for you. He is truly a special person!
