Dr. Fady I. Sharara MD

Dr. Fady and his team were exceptional, words cannot express how grateful my husband and I are to you all for the loving care you provided us during our journey with infertility and IVF. Everyone was so kind to me – Trish being very professional with appointments/insurance and all other paperwork, Jill was supportive when doing all my ultrasounds, and Jessica (who is my favorite) always answered all my questions and assisted me with all injection instructions. Dr Fady is very thorough at his work and he discovered the causes of my infertility and solved all the issues in order for us to be able to get pregnant, we are so blessed that we found his clinic. We are beyond thrilled and expecting our baby end of this year 🏼 Thank you again for everything you did to help get us pregnant after trying for more than two years with other clinics.

Highly recommend Dr. Fady Sharara and his incredible team. Extremely intelligent and passionate about supporting his patients with their desired outcomes. He is honest and straightforward which we really appreciated. He has a specific process which is well studied, thought-out, and intentional to achieve the best possible outcomes. His staff is educated, kind, and considerate. If you are looking for support in Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Fady and his team are second to none.

I have shared my experience with Dr. Sharara on the Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine page where he practices, but wanted to write a secondary review singing his praises here as well! I researched extensively before deciding on Dr. Sharara and decided to make the long drive out to him from Richmond because I truly felt he was the best of the best. And he is! From all the way at the beginning at our consultation to my last visit at my 5 week ultrasound, it was so clear that Dr. Sharara values his patients and does absolutely everything in his power to help them get the results they are hoping for! I truly felt he and the team were right there next to me for every step of the road! One of the “complaints” I saw listed was that Dr. Sharara does a lot of testing. Personally, I was comforted by this and wanted to be able to know everything that could have been discovered/rectified so as not to wonder “What if…?” if we were not successful with pregnancy. Thanks to this testing, it was discovered I have a bleeding disorder that can cause issues with implantation and possible second or third trimester miscarriages. I was able to start on medicine that not only helped baby be safe, but helped keep ME safe after delivery, as I risked possible blood clots afterward! I recommend everyone to Dr. Sharara. I truly felt like I was in the best hands!

I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Fady Sharara and our experience with not only him but his entire staff at Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine! It truly restored my faith in the medical field and doctors. From the minute my husband and I walked in the office and met Dr. Sharara we felt like we knew the staff and him forever. So welcoming, so caring and most importantly such expertise in their field. From the front desk ladies to the nurses to Dr. Sharara himself, it was a 5-star experience. My only disappointment is that Dr. Sharara does not deliver babies himself because we adored him that much. Thank you, Dr. Sharara, and thank you to his amazing staff! I am now 13 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and we cannot wait to meet her!

Thank you so much to Dr Sharara and his team at VCRM! Before selecting a fertility clinic, I did a lot of research and sought out Dr. Sharara based on his excellent reviews. I knew we made the right choice after our consultation. I was expecting a wait time of a few months for an initial appointment but much to my surprise, Dr Sharara was able to see me within a week or two of my initial call. Dr. Sharara greeted my husband and myself in the waiting room with a hug. He prescribes a very thorough diagnostic testing and thanks to his diagnostics we were able to pinpoint the cause of our infertility. In regards to his diagnostic process, most fertility clinics just use a standard semen analysis. Dr Sharara uses a new piece of technology called the CAPSCORE. With this information, we were able to make an informed decision about starting IVF since we understood the cause of our infertility. I truly believe because of this test and his expertise, Dr. Sharara saved us months of failed IUIs, heartbreak and stress. During his consultation he also discussed nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes. With his advice we were able to get as healthy as possible before undergoing IVF. I believe that his well-rounded and holistic approach contributed to our success. After a relatively straightforward egg retrieval, we ran into a few bumps on the road on the way to a transfer. Dr. Sharara had a solution for every problem and provided many suggestions to increase our chances of success (ERA and PRP). He was always there to encourage me when I felt overwhelmed and anxious. I always felt hopeful because I knew that I was in good hands. All of the staff are lovely, welcoming, and friendly and make you feel truly cared for. At my every appointment, Mary and Tricia were at the front desk to greet me by name. The nurses are wonderful. Jessica helped me learn how to do the injections and was always available to answer any question I had as well as providing emotional support. Thank you, Jessica! Thank you also to the amazing embryologists who took such great care of our embryos. There is a definite feeling that everyone is on your team and is rooting for you. I also appreciate the efficiency of the office. I never had to wait more than 3 minutes to be seen and never had a problem making an appointment. My first IVF cycle was a success and I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant. I’m truly sad to be graduating from his clinic to my OB. We will forever be grateful for Dr. Sharara and his team!
