Dr. Bismar is affiliated with Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South and Lifecare Hospitals Of Fort Worth.
Always over booked. What ever your appointment time is add and hour and a half to 2 hours to wait to be seen. The entire inside of the waiting room was full and the hallway was full of people waiting to be seen. I recommend finding another pulmonologist
The staff is very good people including Dr. Bismar. However the scheduling is ridiculous. Before today my appt time came and went. When I asked when would I be seen I was told at least an hour. This was an hour past my time. Which would have been 2 hrs after my appt time. Today it was an hour after my scheduled appt time before I saw the doc. If he can't see patients at the scheduled time he needs to make each appt more than 20 minutes apart.
I am a patient of Dr. Bismar. While sometimes there is a extended wait for my appointment Dr. Bismar and his staff do the best they can to minimize wait time and once Dr. Bismar enters the exam room to see me he takes his time to listen to me and we come up with a plan together on what is best for me. I feel very heard and listened to and like I have a voice in my treatment which is very important considering when I get sick I get very sick.
If I could put a 0 star I would. Had an appointment for my mom today but did not go because I canceled it. The reason I canceled is because I called to confirm my mom's appointment and ask if I needed to be there early to fill out new patient paperwork or if I could do it online but I never even made it that far. The lady who answered the phone was short with me and made me feel as if I was a bother! Therefore I said to her, I don't know if you just don't like your job or what but I will find another Pulmonologist for my mom, thank you and hung up. No, I did not give her chance to reply because there is no excuse for her tone and the feeling of being a bother. Now with that being said I cannot say if Dr. Bismar is a good doctor or not but to me the staff is a reflection of their boss!
Dr. Bismar has been my dr
for more than ten years. I have waited in his waiting for hours. I will do it and whatever it takes to see him. The long hours in the waiting room are the result of time making visits to the hospital to see patients who need him. I know be cause it's been me more than once. He will also take critical patients at the last minute. He does this when he is needed. There are always patients in the waiting room that will tell of the Dr.Bismar saving or changing their lives for the better. If you are an older patient with asthma, COPD, sleep problems or other lung issues, there is no one better.
