Dr. Jihan Hegazy MD

I had a hernia in which my intestines were trapped. Went to ER and had them pushed back in but I declined surgery at that moment due to work obligations. When I met with Hegazy to discuss surgery because I was in constant pain and afraid of my bowels becoming impinged again, she denied me. She was rude and cold and treated me like I was being silly. I had medi-cal at the time. Fast Forward 2 years and I met with a professional surgeon at Sutter. He was shocked that my previous surgeon refused to repair me. At the post-op appt with the kind and competent surgeon asked me for the name of the person who denied me because when he did the operation, my situation was so dire; much worse than what imaging had shown. In the moment, I had forgotten Hegazy's name or else I would have told him...I do not recommend Hegazy to anyone. She was terribly rude and careless and as a result, I lived in intense pain and constant fear of another bowel incarceration for years until I found someone with care and competence.

Dr. Hegazy is very kind and funny, but when it comes to business she is very serious and thorough. It's nice to be able to go to the doctor and it not be all scary and serious all the time. Thanks for making me feel better, Dr. Hegazy.

Staff was professional and caring. Felt I was finally at an office that cares for their patients. Dr. Hegazy is so kind I was taken aback. Did I mention it has been a long time since I had experienced such a professional and understanding Doctor? I feel positive she will be just as amazing during my procedure and after.

First appt yesterday. I really like and appreciate her. Straight forward no BS. Dr Hegazy instilled a sense of trust immediately. Good thing, because she’s doing my surgery next Friday Roxana Holly

Staff was the best experience in this interaction. My care provider was extremely unprofessional and even went against what I was told from two other medical professionals. Will not be returning to this care provider I will be seeking to be switched else where. Felt like cattle being sent to the grinder. Hope no one has to go through my experience.
