2 weeks agoAfter reading reviews we were very prepared to "deal" with the doctor's "poor bedside manner", but our experience was nothing close to most of the reviews provided. All of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and our medical assistant Edgar was outstanding. He was kind, answered questions, and walked us through everything. When we did meet with the doctor he was short, but kind and soft spoken. We're so thankful for coming to see him and his staff.

4 months agoI had a conversation with RITA and encountered several issues. During our initial call, I could barely hear her since she had me on speaker and she placed me on hold for five minutes, prompting me to disconnect the call. She did called back, the sound quality remained poor still had me on speaker. I inquired about the type of doctor they had, as my father has been consulting various specialists following his hospitalization. I mentioned that I needed to coordinate with my father's schedule before confirming an appointment. RITA responded rudely, stating she would close his chart. While I understand the necessity of timely scheduling, it has been challenging to manage multiple appointments. Despite explaining this, Tasha continued to be discourteous. Again if she would had just say will have to close due to not calling back sooner i understand. I expressed my dissatisfaction with her tone and informed her that we would not seek treatment there if the service continued in this manner. As a nurse, I understand the importance of treating patients and their families with respect, something which was notably lacking in this interaction.

3 months agoJohn Mchenry is the reason at 30 years old I am completely blind in my left eye. What started as inflammation in my eye he misdiagnosed and treated for months incorrectly causing irreparable damage leading to complete blindness in the eye. Since, I have seen MANY reputable specialist who have all told me if this was treated correctly initially I would have had no permanent damage and it would have been resolved relatively easily. So my life has been forever changed because this man masquerades as a medical professional to gain trust so he can mistreat you so you need to continue coming back and funneling him money. This man does not care about you, he does not care about your health, he cares about money. This man deserves to be sitting in a prison cell.

2 weeks agoI'm beyond disgusted with Dr.mc Henry and his uncaring staff and I'm definitely calling someone else perhaps this Dr.shulkin I've heard great things about..I can agree this guy has equipment older than me and I'm 41 and he seems to be MRI and spinal tap happy and one minute you can have a 12:55 appointment the next they're calling you to say come in at 7:55 am I'm like WTH I live in Denton county and have to beg for rides cause I'm in a wheelchair and I have severe vision stuff and I keep getting thrown through the ringer seriously I don't give a crap if he's a man of few words I'm an autistic person and I rarely say anything unless I have to but 2-3 month long wait for test results I thought that was weird and he told me he was the only neuropthalmologist in the area and come to find out there's plenty more competent than him..maybe he should do the human race a favor and become a veterinarian instead...ps If your insurance gets cancelled and you haven't gotten your test results from him at all he tries to basically extort $ from you to get them . some one should report him to the Medical board or something

a month agoBecause I moved recently this is the 3rd neuro-opth I have ever seen. I strongly suspect there is something about the field that attracts unusual people. If you expect excellent bedside manner from a neuro-opth you will be disappointed. 5 starts because he was knowledgeable and thorough. He could probably stand to spend some more time with the patients, but I wouldn't either if I were him.
