Best care ever and my best nurses in the world. I was so grateful for all the care I receivedโฆ So thankful for all of them, I was hospitalized for almost 2 months and was very sad to have been discharged. Because they were like family and loved them all, I do miss them.โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
My experience, you wanna know first foot surgery last February, Foot ended up worse than what it was then had another surgery in October and that left my foot even worse from the beginning. I shouldโve left my foot alone and not even done. Nothing, now. I feel itโs getting close to losing my job because I canโt fulfill my duties because of the severe pain in my left foot, and nothing could be done about it so bottom line it sucks to be me! first two pictures are from first surgery. Next one is after the second. And the fourth picture shows how bad it is now
This VA does not care about veterans! I had an emergency visit due to a possible heart attack . I need a stress test asap ! Iโve called the VA here like 7 times , no one returns my calls , they never leave messages . Thereโs always one excuse after another that their nurses will get back to me , they all should be fired ! They could care less about veterans . Iโve even called patient advocates several times , they put me on hold for like 40 min and then they hang up on me . This facility is atrocious ! They should be ashamed .
Understaffed. When calling in to schedule for primary care, they kept tag teaming from social worker to psychiatrist to enrollment and the last employee started walking around like scheduling was a casual conversation. They need to take care of veterans better than before. They used to have people here that cared more for veterans. Restaff with them.
Summary: The staff here will willingly let a vet in a health crisis risk death.
Long version: On 3/9/24 my family member who was in the service, and has been confirmed diagnosed with Manic issues as well as schizophrenia has been having severe issues and hallucinations. We managed to contact his VA doc who is amazing, who said if we can to bring him in. Well after days of looking for him we found him, as he has been roaming the IE on foot after abandoning his house. We brought my family member here, under his DOCTORS orders. The nightmare starts at the triage area where we tried to explain my family member was having a very bad episode, and his doctor who is familiar with how he is wants to see him. We advised that although he is in an episode he has the ability to feign normalcy to elude the VA doctors, which his doctor is familiar with as well. Triage, who also refused to give us their names and were in STREET clothes not only IGNORED us but had us forcible removed by security, as my family member did as we said and feigned normalcy. Security removed us from him and SOMEHOW he was able to get out of the triage area. My family member vanished from the property, staff said they were unable to help us locate him and heโs been missing since. If you hate your vets and want them to suffer, bring them here.
Edit: I kid you not, our relative was located only two weeks ago. This place needs to be shut down. FYI he was found homeless in another STATE. ?????????? You people sicken me.
