a week agoThis is the worst experience in my life. After the firefighters called in my situation as anxiety I felt like I sat in the emergency room Bay for far too long before they evaluated me or even came to talk to me. I was in active stroke for way too long for no one to even trying evaluate what was going on. It was low staff it seemed it was dirty the rooms were disgusting there was blood on the floor there was dirt it was awful. I had to use the bathroom and they didn't put the bed pan in properly so then I peed all over myself. I will say the ER staff was more pleasant than the staff upstairs once I was admitted. Once I was admitted it was a relief because my room was cleaner than the ER. And I had a great nurse her name was Raven but unfortunately she had her hands full and I felt like no one had enough time for me around there in the few days that I was admitted. She really did her best but she was swamped with patient care and I felt like I was a nuisance and didn't feel like I could call them because one of the techs, when I would call to ask to walk and stuff she would seem annoyed with me. Almost like I was a bother. She would say she had to hurry up and go or something when I just wanted to walk back and forth in my room to avoid blood clots. Finally my sister called and brought those concerns up to her and she tried telling my sister that that wasn't the case but it was and then I felt uncomfortable to express how I really felt to her because she was making me feel like she was doing her best and she probably was it seems very understaffed. There's so much wrong with this hospital and they have so much to work on it's unreal. There's no actual neurologist I had to see somebody virtually that felt so unsafe and impersonal to me for the care I should be receiving at a hospital that I've been admitted to. The doctors were all very nice and caring so I will say that there wasn't an issue with 99% of the staff they were all great just trying to do their best in the environment that they're given. But unfortunately it was literally a goat rodeo in that place. I kept raising some concerns before I was leaving and being discharged they didn't seem to care. I went home that night and felt like something was wrong and something was being missed because I just had a stroke and I didn't feel like I was sent home with the proper knowledge and care. So I took myself to Banner Hospital the next morning and thank God I did because they ran way better extensive testing and Northwest missed a whole bunch of stuff. I had a brain aneurysm they found a hole in my heart, an aneurysm in my heart all these things that Northwest didn't even catch. If you have to go here in emergency that's fine but if you want to live or get proper care be transferred after. This hospital really needs to invest in fixing what is broken over there to provide proper care for people. And I know I'm not the only one who's had this experience at northwest. Administration, CEOs you all need to do better. Every life matters and every life counts and you should be providing the best care possible to each and every individual.

3 weeks agoDid an incredible job with my mom. Iโve had a bad experience here in the past, but maybe it was just an off night with not the nicest front desk woman. This time was so different. Quick, friendly, compassionate, and very eager to help. We appreciated the care they provided.

2 months agoI had to go to Northwest Medical Center for at test on my leg. Walking in I felt completely comfortable from the start. The front desk lady was great as well as the admitting lady was great. She just moved here from Brooklyn NY. I use to live in Brooklyn. We had a nice conversation. And the guy who did the test was super cool! I wish I could remember your names. Thank you!โค๏ธ

3 weeks agoMy hospital doctor, Tammy Rhein NP, was a breath of fresh air, being that she had a specialty in Weight Loss Surgery which ironically, my history of was causing MOST IF NOT ULTIMATELY ALL of my problems. My day nurses, Juan and Ruben were very caring and helpful. In my entire stay, I had a single overnight nurse and tech who were terrible! Tammy knows who they were as I reported them to her. The CT staff was wonderful! The blood draw team was amazing! If they hadnโt found Bladder Cancer, it would have seemed as if I was on vacation instead of being on the wrong side of an ambulance trip! Tammy figured that out quickly as well!
