in the last weekUnethical Physician, looking for ways to get patient come multiple times to charge patient and insurance for unnecessary visits. On July 22, 2024, I came in for a follow up from a Dec 2023 visit. The week before the appointment, I left 3 messages for the doctor, his nurse and the receptionist for me to take a blood test prior to the appointment, so we can talk about the latest result. No response. On the day of the appointment, Dr. Alsamman met with me, prior to any blood test, and all he discussed was my blood test result 7 months agoโฆthis of not medical standard practice. I complained to Dr. Alsamman that this is wrong and why is he doing this. Itโs irrelevant to discuss data thatโs 7 months old. We should be discussing about the latest metabolic data and he would not authorize me to take the blood test before seeing him. Dr. Alsamman confessed that heโs afraid his patients may not want to see him after they do the blood test!!! Guess what, he asked me for follow-up visit after the blood test. I spent less than 5 minutes with the Dr. And most of the time was discussing his bad approach to get patient into the office so he can bill the insurance company and the patient. This is a shame medical practice and INOVA should look into this false practice.
