Dr. Mohamad Azzam, MD

It was obvious he doesn't care about how much pain you are in. As a patient, I was given steroid shots twice. I am diabetic, so he shouldn't have given me the steroid shots. Also, he implanted a scs in my back. Also he knew by some divine way that I only needed 2 pain medicine doses a day. I finally told him I was going to my orthopedic Dr and get an X-ray. Azzam said he could get a X-ray. But he had one when I first started going to him. It turned out I needed a complete hip replacement. I will never go back to him and I suggest you do some research before you go to him When I got to his office I could barely stand up or take a step. They had to roll me back in a wheelchair. He has no problem ignoring your degree of pain! He never gave me any kind of treatment that actually relieved ANY OF MY PAIN!

I tried to get my elderly father an appointment with Dr. Azzam for two weeks. He needed the MILD procedure for LSS. After calling several times, I was told that they refuse to see my father because he was previously "established" with another pain doctor. That pain doctor had only seen him three times. First was an initial visit that led to the second visit of getting a steroid injection, which didn't help. The last visit was a follow up and decision for my father to get the MILD procedure, which basically makes him more mobile and independent again. Unfortunately, his new Medicare insurance was not accepted by the previous pain doctor. So my father was referred to Dr. Azzam since he does the MILD procedure. My father never received any other services from the previous pain doctor, nor any pain medications. I didn't understand why Dr. Azzam denied treatment for my father. I tried to call and email him to discuss but he avoided me. My father now goes to Dr. Purvi Patel who is fantastic!

Absolutely terrible experience with this doctor. He cancelled surgery on my father twice, once on the day of. He refused to return phone calls. I was told by his staff that "the doctor doesn't call his patients back". We must have made 20 calls to his office over the course of several weeks to try to get rescheduled. He refused to talk to or call back my father, my brother, me, or my father's primary care physician. His staff also refused to call back about even getting copies of his medial records. Would give zero stars if only possible. STAY AWAY!!!!

He gave my sister pain medicine with codeine. She CAN'T take codeine it even says that in her chart. It gives her chest pains. He refuses to give her anything else for pain other than codeine. After calling his office and explaining this to them, they AGAIN called her something in for codeine. What has this medical field come to. I would give a zero if it was allowed

I seen Dr Azzam 3 times in his clinic after I had a near death experience brought on by a rare blood condition. I suffered muscle waste, wide spread inflammation and neuropathy due to this illness. He has now said , " I don't treat chronic pain." He now REFUSES to refill pain medication and told me to see a rheumatologist. His treatment plan has NOT worked. It's doctors like him that made a need for the Dr Kerkorians of the world. People seek mercy and healing.... and no doctor shouldn't them don't have both.
