I have been seeing Dr.Shakir for 10 years now. He has always been kind, caring and answered any questions or concerns I had regarding my treatment options or medications. The wait in his office is never too long and his office staff has always been courteous. Medication refills and pr-authorization for my medications have always been handled in a timely manner. I recommend Dr.Shakir if you are in Chandler area in search of a Rheumatologist.

After months and months of progressively loosing muscle control which caused the inability to eat solid food, Dr. Shakir was referred to us and Iโ€™m very grateful he was. He figured out within the first 15 minutes of our appointment what I had and quickly started the necessary treatment plan. That was a year ago, our visits continue today, Dr. Shakir is and has always been good listener to my progress, confident in his prescribed path and correct in his expectations. My wife and I canโ€™t thank him enough, especially when others capable of seeing what was actually wrong fell short. I highly recommend him as a person and his abilities as a rheumatology specialist.

Update: after 2 months of trying to get my medicine . I've been waiting over 2 months to get a refill on my Rheumatoid arthritis drug embrel.I got the blood tests that were requested and doctor Shakir said he'd send over a refill request to my pharmacy but never sent it and then went on Vacation for 2+ weeks with no way to get refills and not reurning calls. The pharmacy won't fill it without prior doctors authorization even though I've been getting it for several years.

How can such a rude person be a doctor? Today was my first time to see him. He was very impatient & rude. When I asked questions he was impatient. He was in hurry although there was no patient waiting in clinic at all. When I asked what was his diagnosis he insulted me by saying I donโ€™t have problem & I just think I am sick. He even pointed his headโ€”meant I am out of my mind. I was so shocked that I was shaking. Need to report to terminate his license!

Awesome doctor. I went in with chronic pain in shoulder for more than a year and he treated me in one visit. Very polite. He reviewed all my medical records and validated it with me. Gave importance to physical examination and used MRI and lab reports to correlate his diagnosis. A month after my visit, still pain free.
