My wife delivered a baby here. The delivery process and hospital was on par, doctors/nurses were OK as well, but Tufts has a very bad billing department. I asked for the itemized bill but they kept giving excuses or sent the wrong, non-itemized bills. This made me more suspicious about the bill and I told them I needed to see the itemized bill to pay. I had to ask 4-5 TIMES and finally talked to an agent who knows how to handle the case. I got the itemized bill and when I called to pay for the bill, the agent said the bill already went to the collection agency. I did not get any notice about this and had to wait for the itemized bill as they kept sending the wrong bills or giving excuses on why they could not send one. The last call center agent was extremely rude and very blunt with so-what attitude. Always, always ask for the itemized bill when you have major operation here, as their billing system is shady and the billing department is incompetent. We will never use them again.
I got induced here at 37 weeks. Labor and delivery made sure me and my baby were safe and well cared for. Mother and infant unit afterwards nurses and doctors were very helpful and professional and took good care of us during our stay thank you all so much.
I absolutely LOVE Tufts Medical Center! I have been seen by every major hospital (23 surgeries) in the area and I canโt say enough about the care here. The comprehensive team approach is beyond words superior. I wish all health care was this good.
To tell you the truth, the doctors were wonderful, but the majority of the nurses were not nice they are missing their calling???. I had the pleasure to meet some amazing nurses, but the rest of them needs better approach to customer services.
Care was fine, but I feel like they kept me there for extended time and ran many different blood tests. When it came to billing the attending bill was handled by different account department and they are a nightmare. They tried to upcharge fees and my insurance company discovered that. After months of back and forth between their billing system and insurance insurance paid and sent them EOB showing I only owe $41. Despite myself and the insurance company calling about the bill they kept sending me for over $1100 and their reps saying they are working with the insurance company and would not send to collections, they did anyway for the $1100. Fraudsters.
