Dr. Shabout is rooted in a personal commitment to โdo the right thing,โ which extends to all aspects of his practice and personal life.
Graduating from UTA with a degree in Biology, Dr. Shabout set out to continue his studies and work toward his lifetime goal of opening his professional practice. Following his advanced medical studies at UT Southwestern in Dallas and an intense five-year surgical residency at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital, Dr. Shabout felt prepared to open his practice.
Since that time, he has served in several leadership roles including Chief of Surgery at Harris Methodist Fort Worth as well as Chief of Staff at Texas Health Alliance. His current north Fort Worth practice is strategically anchored in the medical district of the thriving Alliance area. Dr. Shabout offers a variety of surgical procedures that span a broad range of cases, with great interest and focus on minimally invasive robotic surgery.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Shabout has done what he set out to do since early adolescence. His relationship with his patients is โfamiliar and fun with a dose of honesty,โ he says, and he feels perfectly placed, doing exactly what he knows he was meant to do professionally.
Dr. Shabout is married and the father of two daughters. Sharing quality time with his family traveling to culturally diverse and often remote destinations is how he likes spending his leisure time. As a self-described sports enthusiast, he enjoys soccer, football and outdoor activities, including snow skiing and anything that challenges and recharges the senses.
Dr. Shabout reflects on his path by saying, โI love what I do, and I canโt imagine doing anything else.โ
