Dr. Nader Michel Yacoub, MD

Terrible, rude receptionist at the front. Didn't get an eff about me walking and as she was walking out had the nerve to mumble something and keep talking to her co-worker who slowly strolled in after 9 a.m. I asked to repeat what she said as she was walking away and she told me that the Dr. doesn't come in until 10. I asked then why do you guys open at 9? She sarcastically replied "because we open at 9" and kept walking. I left. Like other reviews state, don't waste your time here. I found a better and inexpensive urgent care in West Covina after. I was trying to stay within my city but people like are why so many people leave and try elsewhere.

The new doctor at this location is extremely Rude, Confrontational, and Bitter. I came to this clinic for my routine STD/STI results- AN EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TOPIC THAT SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE and usually takes five minutes, at most. Instead, I was berated with criticisms and multiple negative rantz throughout my 15-20 minute visit, FOR TEST RESULTS ONLY. These are the inappropriate topics that were discussed during my visit- in chronological order. 1. He immediately began to talk negatively about the former doctor at this clinic, when I asked why I couldn't have my STI/STD results over the phone, which was previously done at this clinic. He stated "this is why the other doctor was fired". Continuing to say "no one does that. I've never heard of anyone doing that before." And becoming immediately dismissive of me when I explained that I've never had to come to a clinic or my primary doctor, for STD/STI results. I expressed that this scared me and made me believe something was wrong with my results. 2. He ranted about my former Healthcare provider, Kaiser Permanente. Stating that they are "horrible" and the absolute "worst" in Healthcare because they previously gave me my STD/STI results over the phone, for MY convenience and at MY request. Also, stating that he used to work for them, and that's why he left. And finally listing names of "better" providers. 3. He asked me, "Were you born here". He literally used those exact words just to give me MORE unsolicited advice about my healthcare choices. He never asked me if I was already educated on my choices. He assumed I was ignorant and treated me as such. Speaking to me with a rude and belittling tone of voice. 4. When I inquired if the previous doctor's tests showed that I had an infection(as I was previously told by the former doctor that it would come up on the test results), he scoffed at my question. Stating "That's not what a pap smear is for. Do you know what a pap smear is?" And waited for my answer. I said "no". Immediately after my response, he goes on another rant, again assuming that I've never had a pap smear in my life and that I'm neglecting my health. He continued to speak in depth about how his mother never had one in her life, and died of cervical cancer. After, he was done telling me about his personal life (again)- and finally allowing me to get a word in- I informed him that I've always had yearly/routine pap smears done. 5. After multiple rants from this doctor, I asked what my pap smear results were. Mind you, I still haven't received any of my test results. He responds "I already read them to you. I said it three times. Now it's Four times..." Again speaking to me with a condescending attitude. At this point I've had enough of his rants, criticisms, and passive aggressive attitude. I respond to him "You're very confrontational, huh?" To which he responds "I'm just very straightforward and honest." And I rerespond "Me too. Can I have the rest of my results please". He quickly looks through the paperwork and FINALLY gives me the good news. He did not however, offer to give me a copy of my results. 6. This man told me that I couldn't possibly know what was affecting my body because- as he so bluntly stated "you're not a doctor". I find this to be extremely ignorant and completely condescending coming from a doctor who has never encountered me before. Also, the diagnosis that I informed him about, was given to me by the former doctor at this clinic and multiple doctors at Kaiser Permanente, years prior, for the same reoccurring health issue. This new doctor continued to inform me that I MUST have another serious, underlying condition. He began to make assumptions about my health AGAIN, based on little-to-no knowledge about me or my previous health history. He continued to dismiss my own knowledge about MYSELF, when I told him "I don't have diabetes. No." 7. After I continued to tell him "No, I don't have that." He became enraged and snapped at me saying, "Well it's obvious you don't want to listen to me. So I think we're done."

I really liked the service here the staff very friendly help me out when I asked them that I didn’t have my insurance card and took their time to look me up in the system and had my son seen and was pleased with their service.

My experience was great. The staff is friendly, it didn't take long to see the doctor and they had the medications I needed in house. Plus, it definitely was far cheaper than what I expected being that I don't have insurance.

Really bad. The doctor didn’t do nothing and can’t see more than 1 thing per visit. Don’t come here!
