Dr. Nader Sanai, MD

My mom was admitted to the ER for a massive brain tumor. Dr. Sanai took on my mom’s case and performed a craniotomy and her recovery is going very well. It is a blessing to have met such a wonderful neurosurgeon. His entire team is phenomenal and communicative and everyone was so kind and reassuring. We are forever grateful to him and his team!

Dr. Sanai is an unbelievable person. He was a calm presence for my dad during a terrible time. He was born to be a surgeon and I’m eternally grateful for him. We were told by other surgeons that dads tumor was inoperable. Dr. Sanai was able to take out more than 90 percent of my dads tumor.

Dr Sanai and team are a pleasure to work with! I had open mapping brain surgery in December that had an outcome greater than I could’ve ever imagined. Dr Sanai took the time to meet with me, answer all my questions, and walk me through the details of my surgery. The speech therapist was so kind and also walked me through what to expect in surgery. I was blessed to have worked with both Dr Sanai and Dr Wanebo- I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Dr Sanai is performed a craniotomy on a family member in 2021. Every single interaction with every member of his staff and the Barrow inpatient team was exceptional. The outcome exceeded our expectations. His gentle, candid bedside manner and skill set are unique in neurosurgery. So grateful for Dr Sanai and Barrow!

My experience was wonderful. Dr. Sanai and the staff at Barrow are amazing. I'm 5 weeks post op and the level of care and responsiveness has been amazing, Jacki the nurse is just fabulous. They are like a well oiled machine. If I had to do this again, which I don't as no one wants to have a brain tumor, but if I did I would choose Barrow and Dr. Sanai over and over again 100%
