3 weeks agoI was brought to Mass General Hospital for a sudden urgent procedure. I cannot say enough good things about the doctors, nurses, radiology team, and catering. I was never worried because I knew I was in great hands. The nurses on Lunder 8th floor were professional and took great care of me. They explained everything they were about to do. The doctor did an extremely impressive job with the delicate procedure. I was informed about the procure before hand. I would highly recommend this doctor. The Anesthesia team explained everything to me before the procedure also. They asked if I had anesthesia before and what side effects I had so they could make this time more comfortable. I would highly recommend Mass General Hospital without hesitation.

a month agoIโm glad I did not have a life-threatening emergency, otherwise I would have died in there. Waited for 5 hours just to go home without anything because of their lack of organization and coordination, one nurse told me when I told her that we were informed weโd only be in here for 15 minutes for oxygen is that I โshould be grateful, we make people wait here for 6 hours to get a pill.โ No thank you, from an agitated and careless staff, to below average facilities, Iโd rather stay home and suffer with dignity. It was a complete waste of time and money.

4 weeks agoCare delayed is care deniedโฆ. I wish I could score MGH lower than 1 star but that option is not available. Last January I had a dermatologist at MGH remove several cancerous lesions on my body. So far so good. I started calling the Dermatology department at MGH in early October to schedule a follow up appointment in December. I was first told that my doctor had left the practice. Starting to go downhill. I was then informed that MGH Dermatology was all booked out until JULY 2025! Nothing available for 9 months. I then contacted Brigham Hospital as they are a sister hospital and was informed that they too are booked out until July 2025. I offered to go to MGH Danvers and was told that they are also booked out until July 2025! Do you see a pattern here? Then contacted MGH Patient Support services where a very nice gentleman told me would help. (Great!). Shortly following our conversation/e-mails, he got back with me to inform myself that there was nothing available until July 2025. Is this any way to run a hospital? Iโm looking for a follow up appointmentโฆ.not a surgical procedure. If this doesnโt sound very suspicious I donโt know what does. P.S. I was told by someone who works at MGH Danvers that they only had 3 doctors for the Dermatology Department and MGH has no money to hire more doctors. From My discussions with friends of my age group there is a great sense that the health system in Mass. is on the verge of collapse.

4 weeks agoMy father stayed here back in 2021. Apparently while he was in the hospital, they found he had issues with a valve in his heart as well as lung damnage - and did not tell him or me. My father died recently due to the valve issue in his heart, which is how I found out about this. If Mass hadn't buried medical information, my father might still be alive. If you value your life, go anywhere else.

3 weeks agoWe couldnโt be more grateful for the exceptional care my dad, Antonio Silva, received from Dr. Shankar Ganesh during his spinal surgery. From the very beginning, Dr. Ganesh was real and honest while maintaining a sense of optimism that made my dad feel safe and confident. Throughout the entire process, it was clear that my dad was in the best hands possible, and Dr. Ganeshโs calm and caring demeanor gave us all peace of mind. The surgery and recovery exceeded our expectations. My dad was up and walking the very next day without any pain, which was truly surprising to him. His recovery has continued to be smooth, and two months later, he just keeps getting better and stronger. The day after the surgery, Dr. Ganesh was there to personally check on him, take care of the stitches, and ensure everything was on track. Dr. Ganeshโs professionalism, skill, and genuine care have been a blessing. My dad was so touched by how Dr. Ganesh looked at himโwith a sense of responsibility and empathy, like it was his own result. Weโve been incredibly lucky to have a doctor with such โangel hands,โ who truly cares for his patientsโ well-being. Thank you, Dr. Ganesh, for everything. We are forever grateful!
