a week agoWorst hospital experience ever!! I went to the ER because I had severe chest pains, coughing, and had a hard time breathing. I waited there for hours and only saw the doctor for a total of 15 minutes, all for him to tell me that he "thought I had bronchitis" and prescribed me medicine that didn't even work. I felt even worse when I left the hospital, and suffered for weeks afterward. To make the whole situation even worse, I got billed over $3,000 from the hospital and almost $400 from the doctor. The doctor's bill I can kind of understand since I have to pay him for his time, but $3,000 for me to just sit in a waiting room for hours?! And that is with my insurance paying it's portion of the bill. So I actually got charged almost $7,000 for literally nothing. This absolutely ridiculous! I definitely give this hospital zero stars. How are hospitals such to help people in need if they're just going to kill them with all these crazy medical bills that are completely unaffordable? Shame on them.

a month agoIt really sucked to fall ill and need emergency care but I sure am glad it happened a short drive from Scripps. I was admitted at 2 AM and waited zero minutes after giving information to begin the intake process. The entire care team was fantastic, kind, and informative. I felt such relief knowing I was in genuinely good hands and that they'd figure out what was wrong and fix me up swiftly. From the phlebotemist to the orderlies, everyone was professional; but the doctors and nurses were absolute angels. I absolutely loved Dr. Hart, who quite literally held my hand as I went under anesthesia. She patiently and clearly explained what was happening to me, and when I made my decision gave me validation that she agreed it was the right one. It was over before I knew it. Yvonne and Yvette were wonderful and I am just so grateful to the entire staff for saving my life.

a month agoWe went to this ER at the suggestion of my doctor because our local hospital is always so overcrowded and slow. I am very glad I took his advice. All of the nurses and doctors were extremely nice, and very attentive. Very upbeat and kind. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised, as the experiences at TriCity Hospital were very different by comparison. It was a very refreshing and appreciated change. Thank you to the ER staff.

4 months agoI extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Scripps Memorial Hospitalโs ER. From registration to doctors, their unwavering care and patience have left a lasting impression. Dr. Steve and Dr. Garvey, both incredibly knowledgeable, listened attentively and treated us with kindness. Jacob R., who handled reception during our last two visits, was exceptionally helpful and considerate. The friendly nurses like Olivia, lab team like Shally, X-ray technicians, and scanning staffโthough busyโnever compromised on their compassion. As newcomers to California, this team made us feel less alone. Wishing them all the best!

3 months agoMy wife unexpectedly went into labor 5 weeks early while we were on our baby-moonโฆ and we are from Phoenix! We rushed her here with barely time to spare, and she delivered our healthy girl 45 minutes later. I cannot express our gratitude and appreciation for all the wonderful nurses and doctors who helped us! They were truly so caring, effective, kind, and patientโwe were so nervous away from home without any of our stuff, and they were with us the whole way. They even sent us a handwritten card a week later remembering our pets names!!!
