Dr. Sarah Chamseddine is a pediatrician in Boston, Massachusetts and is affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital. She received her medical degree from American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice between 6-10 years.
They saved my granddaughter's life. She had endocardial cushion defect. They repaired her heart. We were back home in 2 weeks. Boston Children's Hospital is the best. If you have been told that your baby needs a heart transplant. They might be able to repair the heart without a transplant. No matter where you live, it will be worth the trip.
When we brought our baby into the ER that night, we were so scared. He needed a small procedure, and then he was admitted for a few days for observation. Throughout this difficult time, the care and treatment he received were exceptional. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the PEDS Nurses who took such wonderful care of our little guy: Carrie, Katie (Kathryn), Dani (Danielle), Conner, Ash (Ashley), and Julie. You all are truly amazing, and we are so grateful for your kindness and dedication.
Not impressed with the care and the lack of staff at the emergency department or maybe it was a lack of a sense of urgency. I took my 5 month old in because he had a 103° fever. I arrived around 4:50 and had to wait in a 10 minute line with other sick children to be triaged. Once back they took vitals to confirm fever and heart rate. The nurse told me they would test for flu, Covid, rsv and get him meds for the fever. My son is visibly sick, crying, whimpering, and overall uncomfortable. We get sent upstairs to wait in another room to see the doctor. We eventually get put in a patient room and more vitals are taken to confirm fever. Then a while later the doctor comes in to again confirm fever and ordered Tylenol and tests. 2 HOURS go by since our first encounter with the nurse and my INFANT still has not received Tylenol for his HIGH FEVER. !!!!!!!It was also 80° in the patient room!!!! My infant started looking purple/red and blotchy from being so hot and even the doctor asked if he was normally that color. We had to keep the door propped open so we weren’t baking in there. I had to go to the nurse station crying because I don’t understand why it’s so hard to help my baby with a simple dose of medicine. We were melting in that room with how hot it was and my son was getting worse. It took over an hour from the time the doctor left our room to get his tests done and that was only because I made a big deal about it to the staff. After standing up for ourselves they finally had a sense of urgency and had us out of there shortly after. I was at the point of just giving him medicine I had in his diaper bag so he wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. The nurse that came in took his temperature AGAIN and I had to ask her what his temp was at because I’m assuming she didn’t want to tell me because it was higher than it was when we arrived. They didn’t even have to administer the Tylenol themselves. I was able to give it to him and breastfeed so it wasn’t as unpleasant.
Boston Children's has been amazing, the staff are so kind and friendly, very knowledgeable of and informative of everything going on with their patient. They have tons of activities going on everyday to keep the kids busy and spirit's high. The nurses are always checking in with the parents making sure they are okay and if they need something they make sure it is taken care of. Thank you Boston Children's and staff for everything you have done and continue to do for my family we love you ❤

a week agoNot a good hospital. They will lie to benefit themselves. Children's wellbeing is sadly not their priority. I would give negative stars if I could.
