a year agoGood Dentist. Iโve never been a huge fan of going but Dr. Ahwal has great bedside manner. Shows you pictures and progress of what needs to be done. I really like that I went in for possibly a crown and he was able to fill the tooth instead. The old dentist I had didnโt catch the filling has an issues and the tooth had a crack

3 weeks agoMoney grab. Wanted to do thousands of dollars worth of work that wasn't needed according to a second and third opinion I got. Also has no clue how to use nitrous oxide if you need that. Go elsewhere.

a year agoThis office is great! Prior to Dr. Ahwal I have been going to another dentist in La Mesa for over 12 years, until he retired. I was skeptical about finding a new office but found this one through my insurance. Little did I know I would fall in love! His office is so clean, the hygienists are extremely friendly and the staff overall are fantastic. They are kind, patient and positive. Not only did I get a cleaning done but I even chose to get my four impacted wisdom teeth removed here. Although the experience was slightly overwhelming due to not being able to be put asleep- dr awhal was very reassuring during the entire procedure. He made what could have been a terrible experience so positive. His staff are extremely informed and walked me through everything I even called to ask more questions and they were happy to assist. I recently recommended this office to my dad and brothers who are looking for a dentist as well. I would certainly recommend Dr and his team to anyone looking for an office to call home. :)

3 years agoDr. Ahwal has been my dentist for about 10 years now and I canโt express enough how thankful I am for his expertise, his thoughtful caring, friendly attitude, wonderful staff and always making my appointments a positive experience. I canโt say that Iโve ever enjoyed going to the dentist, but I do rest assured that when I need to see one, I know who the pro is. I honestly can say that I never feel stressed when Iโm his office. Thank you Dr. Ahwal and staff for your excellent service! I appreciate it immensely! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!

3 years agoThe staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr Ahwal is professional and has done a great job with my teeth. I previously hated going to dentists, but now I donโt mind. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dentist in San Diego!!
