Anyone who has been lucky enough to enjoy cafe culture knows how special it is to find a place with personality, a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, great service with huge smiles, and excellent - and great value - food and drinks. Historia, with its happy chatty regulars, and wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff, provides a level of comfort and a sense of community which is so rare in this area. Highly recommend the kouign Amman, a beautiful buttery layered almond or raspberry French pastry, crispy and flaky with a wonderfully moist and chewy center.
I was early for an appointment and was looking for an avocado toast and remembered this place had it. The food and baking goods are fresh and well done, met the owners as well super friendly. This is a place I will drive to go to.
If you have yet to try Historia Bakery Cafรฉ in Thousand Oaks, you're missing out on some truly great coffee creations. The beans are perfectly roasted, and unusual menu items like Los Cubano (double shot with brown sugar and crema) and the Blueberry Lavender Latte are a real treat. Don't forget the actual treats, though. Omfg, the pastries. All are, in a word, incredible. The lemon bars are subtly sweet/tart, not overpowering, and the croissant creations are expertly flaky. Also fantastic are the breakfast sandwiches. All of this is enough to keep us coming back, but today we spent some time chatting with Robyn, the delightful proprietress. This amazing woman works 7 DAYS A WEEK, and her commitment shows in the warm atmosphere and truly spectacular food and bevs. Run, do not walk, to check out Historia! If you're not impressed, you may want to have your taste buds tested!
Cameron is amazing. He turned me onto the pretzel crossiant with ham amd cheese. Absolutely amazing. His service goes above and beyond anything ive experienced locally. I had my toddler with me and he made us feel at home.
Gourmet pastries, sandwiches, and drinks that are also reasonably priced! The service is amazing and the people are so friendly. This is a gorgeous little community hub with top notch food. Iโd support a wonderful small business like this over a soul-less chain any day!
