The Islamic Center of Lexington Park was first established in July 2001 by 3 Muslims who moved to the area for work. These founding 3 traveled 45 minutes to Prince Frederick, the location of the closest Masjid, to perform Jumuโah prayers. In 2021, April, after years of hoping and praying for an Imam to join our community, Allah sent use Imam Atir. Imam Atir joined the community on a part-time basis as he continues his studies in Islamic Finance. Imam Atir currently leads the weekly Jumuโah, nightly Maghrib, and nightly Isha prayers. During Ramadan 1441/2021, Imam Atir is leading nightly Tarawih prayers. Alhamdulillah.

4 months agoMe and my family found peace, another family and a home at this masjid. We are forever grateful to Allah, and management. The masjid is always clean and religious programs very clear and specific. Masha Allah.

3 years agoI moved to the area with my family for a job about 2 years ago. So far this has been one of the best Masjids I have been to in the states. The people and community are very nice and friendly. The new Imam is great and his Khutba is amazing!

4 years agoAmazing mosque, amazing community, absolutely no way to get in, you'll just bounce off community members like a volleyball in a court. Find a church to pray your daily 5 prayers in instead. Edit: if you need to access the mosque speak to the leaders during jumaa, otherwise would be closed most of the week.

5 years agoMy family and I recently moved to the area. I've prayed all but one Jummah prayer in this masjid. We have already participated in many events that this welcoming place of warship has had to offer including Iftars and fundraising events. The place is well maintained and every extra penny acquired through donations goes directly into repairs and improvements to help for the expanding Islamic community in the area. My family and I couldn't have asked for a better place to feel at home and this small community has helped make our relocation so much easier

5 years agoI am new in this community. I am very happy that we have a masjid. I have visited the masjid recently at the Maghreb time. I was hoping to break the fast in the masjid and pray. But unfortunately no one was there and masjid was locked. I would really like to meet the local Muslim community and have the access to the masjid. I would love to pray five times in the masjid and Friday jumma prayer. Please let me know how I can contact the Muslim community.
