America stands for freedom of ALL religions & faiths. The mosque is a place where Islamic people pray on the floor in an open space five different times a day. Wash up before coming, but dress clothes arenโt compulsory. Men & women pray separately. Friday prayer is the central congregational day. The Iman , or religious leader, leads the group in the prayer. Young & old especially welcomed. Runs about an hour on Friday prayer.
I'm a Christian and I'm doing comparative religions class online and he recommends us going to different places of worship to better understand different religions and so I was wondering if I go there what to expect because I'm just looking to observe so I can get a better understanding into the Islamic faith and do well on my paper
I haven't been to this mosque in a long time. I really loved coming here. The people were very friendly, and Imam Zafar Sabawi is a really great guy. Bless him and his family. The reason why I don't come here is because I moved out of town.
Looks like a good masjid, but was closed when we got there to make Duhr. A good sister happen to stop by and found out that its only open for Fajr and Isha.
