4 months agoWent to this place for the first time to attend a Bazaar. Plenty of food trucks, toys for children, clothing, jewelry, and tasy snacks to buy. It was a lovely center that does a lot for the Muslim community!

5 months agoThis is the biggest masjid I have ever seen and simultaneously the worst i have ever been in. There is no signage showing directions to prayer areas. There is nothing showing what is located where. Bathrooms are challenging to find. I'm a woman, I'm a sister, so I went upstairs to find the sisters' area full of men because of after-school Qur'an lessons. I got scared, I don't like being in spaces with this many men. Nobody gave me any guidance as to where to go and what to do. The bathrooms I managed to find were for students only. I couldn't find anywhere to pray. Turns out, if you go past the door with a huge "do not enter" symbol on it, you enter the actual sisters' side, which is highly counterintuitive. I wish to have known that before i was told to pray in a stuffy hifz school area. Environments like this, where the men are prioritised over women, prevent women from wanting to go to the masjid and engage with the Deen. While we are not obligated to come, we mustn't be stopped from it, as per the hadith of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
