The Islamic Society of Central Florida (ISCF) strives to serve all people in the greater Central Florida community by providing comprehensive social, religious, educational, economic, and interfaith services.
Some of the reviews here refer to this location as a mosque or Masjid. I do not believe that is the case. I believe this is the office for the ISCF. There is a Masjid close by though - that is the Masjid Al-Rahman, on the other side of Goldenrod, further south.
A beautiful house of Allah The Almighty Exalted Creator. Diversity strives in this amazing building. Friendship, brotherhood and sisterhood are blooming in this community. A blessed place of education and gathering. One of my favorite masjids ๐
I took my family there a few months ago because I wanted my Christian children to learn and understand about the Muslim faith and to appreciate that the vast majority of Muslims are peace-loving individuals who go about their prayers and day to life in a way not too dissimilar to ours. The people hosting the mosque's open day were very welcoming and friendly, those going about their prayers in the mosque the epitome of patience as our group paraded through, and the individual who conducted the Q & A session at the end answered any and all questions openly, honestly, and informatively. I'd question the couple of negative comments left on here, because they certainly don't reflect our own experience, and I'd hazard a guess and say that those who left them had an agenda of their own, which if true is pretty pathetic though somewhat indicative of the divisive times we live in. If you're a non-Muslim with an open mind who simply wants to gain a little insight into the people and their faith, just go along to the monthly open day and accept the hospitality. They won't bite!
I absolutely love this mosque. I love the people of this Mosque. I call it my home. I converted from Christianity here, I learned my humanity here, I married here, and my children were educated here. Allah has blessed this community with LOVE.
