First time trying Somali food, I found it via Google and Reddit suggestions. I got there very excited to try their food, and even though it seems I got there on a dinner rush (waited for 45 min for my meal) I have to say their food is really good. I had the goat cutlet over rice with vegetables and a side of chapatti. The goat was well charred and the meat was quite tender. I was missing some spice until I found their green hot sauce which is very tasty. I emptied the plate. The wait kinda messed a bit with the experience, also there seems to be a bit of air circulation problem as I left with the smell of cooking oil all over my clothes. In short: I recommend it, Very affordable, tasty and large portions. I’ll be back.

First time going here, you have to order from the front. The food was fresh. It'll take around 15 min for the food to come out. The meats are very tender and soft. The steak is crispy on the outside and very soft and flavorful. Costs about $20 per person on avg. Would recommend if you don't mind the atmosphere.

First time ever having jubba let, alone Somali cuisine, and I'd have to say why didn't I find this place sooner. I ordered the chicken plate, goat plate, and chicken wrap to go and did it all make my car smell good. The meats were tender and full of flavor, veggies tender yet with bite. The green sauce, wow, has a kick but with a refreshingly cool feeling finish. Only reason why I couldn't give a full 5-star was the injera, to me, was just missing that hint of sour dough like taste. And did I mention, the to go boxes and some heft to them. (Excuse the photo, I dove right in before snapping the photo) I went around lunch time and the restaurant wasn't overly busy in the seating area but you get a sense that people were enjoying themselves. This place is kind a tucked away by a park and ride but I bet they get there regulars.

Amazing first time having Somali cuisine, and I'll definitely be back someday. The Roasted Goat Cutlet meal and the Mandazi sweet bread hit the spot, although next time I'll ask for extra meat. I love the colorful seating and appreciate the friendly staff - oh, and the restaurant's against a light rail stop where I can watch trains! What more could an African-cuisine-seeking, color-loving train/transit enthusiast ask for?
