5 months agoI have been a resident at one of the Cleveland hospitals, & unfortunately, I have stayed at Reserve Square (RS) for 3 years. Moving into this place during COVID-19 without visiting first was a colossal mistake. I suggest you think of other options which are cheaper and better. While the apartment itself is spacious, that's the only positive aspect. Everything else is a nightmare. Hereโs a rundown of the many issues youโll face at RS: Location While Downtown Cleveland is lively during sporting events, it becomes a hazardous area at night, with frequent incidents of muggings and robberies. Walking around after dark is risky and unsafe. Rooms The rooms are indeed large, and you can comfortably fit a King or Queen bed in the bedroom, with a huge living room. I stayed in a 1BR apartment with a great view of Downtown, but this view was the sole advantage of living in Reserve Square. Parking The covered parking costs $180/month as of June 2024, with prices constantly rising. It is filthy and insecure. Random people frequently wander up the ramp, loitering around the lot. My friend's car was broken into. The parking situation is not worth the money. Washroom The washroom lacks a vent and is otherwise standard. Safety The building is extremely unsafe. The guards, who rotate through a company and seem indifferent, allow almost anyone in. Despite attempts to restrict entry to fob access, the garage doors are often broken, allowing anyone to walk up the ramp and enter the property. Downstairs, you can easily tailgate someone to gain access. To make matters worse, a friend of mine was robbed. Someone stole the key he had left hanging on his mailroom box, gained entry to his apartment, and made off with his laptop, tablet, watch, and other valuables within five minutes. Laundry The 4th floor laundry room received new machines after 1.5 years, but even these are almost always broken. Itโs a constant hassle. Elevators The west side has five elevators, with four servicing all floors. One of these only goes up to the 11th or 12th floor and is almost always out of service. Of the remaining elevators, typically only two work at any given time. Living on the 6th floor, I often faced delays, but those on higher floors should add at least 5 minutes to their travel time. Random Issues Fire Alarm: The fire alarm goes off incessantly, at least once a day. It became so frequent that I stopped getting out of bed to check if it was a real emergency. Cleanliness: The building is extremely dirty, with garbage everywhere. Mail Room: The mail room has limited hours, making it difficult to get packages on time. USPS stopped delivering mail due to an issue with the apartment numbering that the leasing agents never bothered to correct. Moving In/Moving Out: On weekends and most weekdays, guards have no idea how to operate the freight elevators. They seem completely clueless about their job responsibilities. Moving in was a nightmare due to the lack of coordination in getting my furniture from the loading bay, and the same chaos occurred when moving out. Overall assessment: The management and staff at K&D donโt care about Reserve Square (RS) because they rely on a steady influx of foreign students from nearby CSU. Despite the convenience of two grocery stores downstairs, living at RS has been a nightmare. The downtown location is dangerous at night, and while the rooms are spacious, thatโs the only plus. The parking is expensive, filthy, and unsafe with frequent break-ins. Security is lax, the laundry machines are often broken, elevators unreliable, and the fire alarm goes off daily. A friend was even robbed. RS is unsafe, inconvenient, and poorly managed. Avoid it at all costs. P.S. Apart from the downtown view, the only two other people who made my stay here worth it were Serenity (previous mail manager, now leasing agent) and the current mail guy (cheers to you bro, will miss your smile).

2 weeks agoI wouldnโt wish to experience I have had with reserve square on my worst enemy. This is building is infested with roaches not only do their employees not care. Extremely disrespectful their manager does not keep her word with anything. The building has had to have my apartment exterminated four different times and still is infested with roaches. I have no furniture in here. I have not slept one day despite signing my lease on October 1. Today is now November 6th

a year agoSo moving in here I wasn't given dorm vibes and the unit they showed us was way nicer then the one we moved into. We were supposed to transfer from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom which never happened due to error made by former GM. The laundry room was very annoying having to fight to find a washer/dryer and the trash being all over the floors along with leaking water. I never used the pool when looking at it seeing it was not that clean. The gym equipment was also older and I was disappointed on one of the machines I was using wouldn't allow me to pause my workout. Very gross seeing roaches throughout the laundry room. Security was very bad especially ok grave and didn't know how to turn off fire alarms which would go off for a hour or so very often. Trash was left throughout building in halls and homeless people would sit out front asking me for money. Package room is closed Monday and Tuesday and also only available during their hours if ups doesn't stop delivering again and you gotta go a half hour out of your way if you don't drive costing you 20 dollars for a lyft possibly more plus your time.

2 months agoSubmitted my application sent in my deposit and application fees. Application fee is non refundable. Deposit is refundable as the company didnโt approve my apartment there was no communication or email on why it wasnโt approved. I had to call and follow up with the leasing agent Serenity. I checked online there was no documentation saying not approved. I called spoke with the leasing manager and then the accountant. The accountant said yes you will be receiving an refund. I started my process since march . It is now august and the office has stopped accepting my calls and emails. Just because they have to send my funds back to me. The company was calling me all the time now all of a sudden no response and calls ainโt been returned. The company is saying wrong call a different number and press 1 but all the numbers are the same. Send my refund ASAP you asked multiple times for the shipping address. This company is definitely a scam cause why you giving me a hard time for money your company owes me .

2 months agoI have been living in Reserve Square for almost the last two years. The rooms are pretty decent, and the maintenance team responds very quickly. However, the only problem I have faced recently is with the electricity bill. For the past two months, my roommate and I have been using the same amount of electricity. We both work and come home at night, and we hardly use the gas stove or the AC, which we only run for about 5-6 hours as usual. Despite this, our electricity bill has been increasing every month: from $55 to $60 to $70. This isn't just a minor issue; if this is the case, at least provide us with a bill or receipt showing how much electricity we are using. Transparency is important. When I spoke to the leasing office, they said they didnโt know anything about the meters or which company we should contact to file a complaint. Instead, they just instructed us to keep paying the increasing bill or face late fees on top of everything else.
