3 months agoI'm so glad I decided to give it a try. This was a very enjoyable dining experience. Sweet little place. Music ++ Great service. Great vegan options. Very reasonably priced. Generous portions. Amazing food! The grape leaves were like none I have ever had! The combination of paprika and pomegranate are a tangy, savory, suprise that left me wanting more. The server recommended the Foul as a vegan option and WOW! Visually interesting, lovely aroma, delicious flavors and textures, make this the ultimate comfort food. Again, I'm so glad I decided to give it a try.

2 weeks agothis is a cute place! the service is good and the food looks good. The portions are huge, you can easily feed two with one entree. I got the chicken, I thought the chicken was very dry so I didn't enjoy it very much but I liked the rice. We got some kind of date pudding for dessert, it wasnt for me, but it was interesting!

a month agoWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Malooga, a Yemeni/Middle Eastern restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. The flavors were incredibly authentic and the quality of the ingredients was exceptional. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, and both the chicken and lamb dishes were more than enough for two people, and we were pleasantly surprised to find such affordable prices for such high-quality food. Chef Mohammad's personal touch was a wonderful addition to the dining experience. He took the time to check in with us and ensure that we were enjoying our meal, and his friendliness made us feel right at home. If you're looking for a truly authentic Yemeni dining experience, Malooga is a must-visit. The food is delicious and the prices are unbeatable. We wish we had one in San Jose California!

2 months agoSurpassed expectations, an excellent meal with good value. You need a reservation; it was full on a Sunday evening at 6p. We started with the Adventure Platter sampler, enjoyed all the selections. Fresh and hot bread served. For main we had the lamb haneeth, chicken shawarma and yogurt cucumber fusion. Dessert had rice pudding and baklava. All really good (much more flavorable than typical middle eastern takeout) and we'd order those dishes again. We were out the door for $100 with tip. Only negative is the space itself - it's crowded so plan ahead. Highly recommend.

3 months agoI dined here during my self date in Old City :) I like the atmosphere, didn't feel alone at all. The staff were enthusiastic in recommending the food and informing the waiting time. The food was tasty, not too spicy and rich in flavor. Highly recommend the Ali's mom dessert ๐ฎ
