5 months agoOrdered take out, got there when it said it was going to be ready and it took them another 20 minutes to get our food ready. Saw the guy get the tea from the gas station โfood mart.โ Food was not very good at all. The oum ali desert looked gross, didnโt even eat it. Waste of time and money

2 years agoWe drove by this Mediterranean spot and took a chance with it as it was attached to a Gas station but surprisingly enough the food was very good! All entrees main dishes are served with hummus, salad and/or rice, couscous. We ordered the Moroccan chicken Tajine with couscous and Merguez (North African sausage) with couscous. Tasted fresh. Just delicious! The chef was polite and friendly. The only downside is that you have no dine -in we had to take our order to a nearby park in Burbank to eat it. I definitely recommend this place.

a year agoAwesome Legit Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern Restaurant in the form of a Walk Up Window connected to a Gas Station. Chef Guy holding down this Not-So-Secret Secret Spot is an Older Egyptian Man who knows how to cook His Cultures Food. I came in the evening close to Closing Time just after 8pm and he was The Cook, Cashier and Food Prepper- Their Jack of All Trades. He doesn't speak much English but, has common sense and street smarts whit so, he knows how to communicate even though, there's a language barrier. NO TIP JAR but, Please Tip Well. I went with their Merguez Sandwich and it comes with Rice or Fries (I got Rice which had some onions and pickled turnips with a nice kick) and choice of it coming as a Sandwich or in a Gyro-Type Pita- which I went with. I also got a Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Both were delicious and the Smoothie had a nice sweetness even though he didn't put much sweetener. I'd normally have went with a Kebab but, I didn't want to eat too much so late. Pretty HUGE Menu and rave reviews about this place so I'm definitely coming back to try more of their food. Restrooms inside the Gas Station which has a Mini-Mart. I didn't use it. Gas Station is updated and there's parking next to the Air/ Water Pump by the corner. Street Parking in the Residential Street behind, off to the side.

5 years ago** AVOID ONLINE ORDERING AND/OR DELIVERY ** Marsa Lounge took 2 hours (from the time I submitted my order) to deliver my food. I ordered around 3:40 PM, a time that one can safely assume is NOT busy for restaurants (which google analytics supports in showing this sparsely frequented time as "usually not busy"), and was told by their online ordering system that I could expect delivery "around 4:30 PM Today". After 45 minutes passed the delivery ETA, I called the restaurant to ask about my order that was nearly an hour late. All I was told was "sorry, the delivery guy already left". I still didn't receive my order until around 5:40 PM, about 2 hours after I submitted the order. This is absurd because the restaurant is about an 11 minute drive (a little over 3 miles) from the address ordered from. How can it possibly take 2 hours to prepare and deliver a 3 item order? It would've been faster to take the bus there, order take out, and then take the bus back. Or, rather, it would've been faster and cheaper to go to the grocery store and cook myself something to eat. Needless to say, the food was barely warm when it arrived, which checks out as it was likely sitting out for a great deal of time before it was actually out in transit for delivery. Marsa Lounge should consider either revamping their online order & delivery process to accurately represent delivery ETAs or discontinue offering delivery & online ordering altogether until they are equipped to professionally handle these. As for the food itself, it wasn't bad. I had not eaten in almost 12 hours so pretty much anything tastes good at that point. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because the food was edible and somewhat tasty. My only other complaint is that the hummus is overpriced, as it is at many restaurants, seeing as it's so much cheaper to make at home. Anyone with a food processor and a brain could make homemade hummus.

a year agoTerrible. Beef swarma was old, salty and dry. It tasted like leftovers from previous nights of business. The portions were small and overpriced. I took pictures next to my juul to show how small it was. They say you get 2 for 1, it was 1 and it was $37 with sides. Order Chipotle or Zankou chicken, better taste and value. Nope!!
