5 months agoA simple elegant and clean mosque close to U of C. Serving the community during Ramadan and providing Muslims a place to pray! Would recommend. Parking is a bit limited but that's to be expected in the city.

a month agoCurtained women's area, might as well stay home, can't see the imam speak, have to listen to microphone. Can't point soles towards the qibla, totally Buddhist thought process, dealing with chakras, if you wear socks, it should be just as effective as wearing a scarf to cover your aura against jinn. Restroom is too far away outside around the back and there is nowhere in the Quran where a menstruating women can't enter musala, this is also yogi practice for certain poses or some meditations. No food in the masjid other than water and dates for iftar during Ramadan. A little drastic. Brother running to make Jumah prayer and imam still insults him for being late. Beautiful outside, doesn't feel that way on the inside. I don't need to be reminded to cover my hair, if I'm not in the musala, the Quran rule is your father or husband can remind you. Definitely need women imams, if we can't see the men.

a year agoMashaAllah- beautiful masjid, and thereโs such a peace when you enter. I came for Asr prayer and there was a spacious section for women to make wudu and pray.
