Bismillah Al Rahman Al Rahim
Brothers and Sisters, Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu,
Welcome to Masjid Al-Ikhlas, located in the Alamo City of San Antonio, Texas, USA
Here at Masjid Al-Ikhlas, first and foremost, Laa ila ha illallah Muhammadu Rasulullah, Sallalahu Alaihim Wassallam, meaning none has the right to be worshipped except Allah (One God) and Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings be upon him, his Family and his Companions) is the Final Messenger of Allah. At Masjid Al-Ikhlas we only follow Qurโan and Sunnah.
Masjid Al-Ikhlas started in November 2013 with a small number of Muslims coming together to establish a Masjid near San Antonio International Airport. According to The Noble Qurโan โthe masjids of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practice regular charity, and fear none at all except Allah, it is they who are expected to be on true guidanceโ (Qurโan 9:18). Furthermore, when Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings be upon him) migrated to Al Madinah one of the first things he did was to build a masjid (Quba).
The mission of Masjid Al Ikhlas is to serve the Muslim community of San Antonio, TX by providing its members and non-members alike with correct teaching of Islam according to Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him). The masjid will serve the community with marriage counselling, individual and family affairs. The masjid also has Dawah office, which is headed by Shahadah foundation to go out and invite people to Islam. We will strive to be a model for putting Allah first and following the correct teaching of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings be upon him).
Alhamdulillah 5 years later Masjid Al-Ikhlas has grown in attendance and we continue to make Dua for all Muslims. This brotherhood is a single brotherhood (Qurโan 21: 92). Masjid Al Ikhlas now holds 5 times daily prayers as well as Friday Juma prayers. Friday Hutbah starts at 1:00PM Central time.
We have also established adult and childrenโs Qurโan and Arabic classes at the masjid.
InshaAllah our plan is to move from our current leased building on Perrin Beitel Road to a permanent Masjid building in 2021.

in the last weekI love the feeling at this masjid. Very simple and the people are kind. Iftars Mondays and Thursdays which is very nice. They have classes which I understand are available on line also. They even have a homeschool co-op I just learned about. That is VERY exciting. Definitely want more information on that program. Looking forward to seeing them grow and supporting them as they continue to serve the muslim community and our families

2 weeks agoThe mosque must not be closed for people who are trying to attend, and then it's locked with a lock that doesn't even work? That prevents people from attending to their prayers! Shame on whoever did this and did not think about others , we understand that locking it is a measurement of security, but access needs to be granted for people who need it! And then it's 1:30 pm and nobody showed up for Dhuhr that starts at 1:36 pm!? Less than 6 minutes before the salat time and the mosque is still closed??when are people gonna read koran? Do wudhu? Pray?? I'll never come back here if this is how the policy is. It is very disappointing, and this is not how a mosque should be run/managed.

5 months agoThe best place for all American Muslims and those of all countries who have made homes in San Antonio in zip codes 78217 and 78218 area. Led by a well versed Imam who has in depth knowledge of Quran and kindly help them with generous donations as they are trying to move into a permanent Masjid from current rental location and building a Mosque on a adjacent already purchased. May God bless all humanity who believe in One God Almighty and pray and seek his forgiveness for a better life in hereafter. Ameen

11 months agoWhat time is the Friday qutbah & Salah. Just a gentle reminder: I think the timing of the Friday prayer should have been mentioned on the site. Jazakallah khair.
