Masjid Al-Tawba

Mashallah this mosque is beautiful both inside and out. You can tell from the photos how well kept and maintained it is by the help of the Iman and the community. they even have an outdoor playground for children to use i’m assuming during weekend classes. Mashallah My only complaint is with how women can use the mosque. I work a hybrid job and so at times it is easier for me to come to the mosque and pray instead of driving home. and with the bad minnesota weather we have this time of year, coming to the mosque has been even more beneficial and safe for me. i’ve tried to attend this mosque twice now. both times without any way to get into the mosque. there’s no clear direction as to where women should enter from. all doors are closed and locked and the only available door (the front door which i tried to avoid because duh men) is locked behind a key pad which i’ve noticed every man who enters knows the code but it isn’t written anywhere else for newcomers. I’ve tried calling the mosque number a dozen times for some clarity but to no avail. i have anxiety and didn’t feel comfortable asking any of the few men i’ve seen coming in or out of the mosque and so this was really disappointing. I know religiously, my home is the better option to pray at and honestly, i have social anxiety and so id prefer praying at home. but at times when work is too hectic or if i’m in between classes and need to pray before returning to my studies, places like the Al-Tawba Mosque are an important part of maintaining Salaah for both men and women. and so I’d like to end this review on a Hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn ‘Umar RA, where he states, ‎“قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَمْنَعُوا النِّسَاءَ حُظُوظَهُنَّ مِنْ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنُوكُمْ” “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not prevent women from their share of the mosques if they seek your permission.” Inshallah, I make dua to return one day but today experience was very discouraging.

Great masjid. Well kept and clean. The imams are very qualified individuals and jumuah khutbahs here usually portray a meaningful message.

Great little community masjid, a nice little find as Im away from home

Only one big issue here otherwise all good Masha-Allah the issue is Juma Salaah I’m been seating for 2 hours pass salah time and Juma Salah has not even come close to start next time Juma is after 1:00pm close to Asar Salah.
