in the last weekDo not waste your time & money on Barhoma Law now known as “Power Trial Lawyers” . He talked a good one at our consultation & charged us around $30k and got NOTHING done for us. His communication is literal TRASH & his assistants will just give you the run around. Not to mention, they are very unorganized! He sent my husband LEGAL MAIL that belonged to ANOTHER inmate! & THE ONLY time Barhoma contacted us was when we told his assistant he had sent us someone else’s case! Hadn’t that happened, we probably would’ve still been waiting for a call back from him. It was VERY clear that Matthew Barhoma didn’t review my husband’s case thoroughly! He petitioned for things my husband didn’t even qualify for…. Long story short, he didn’t help us at all but was quick to ask for $30k ! If you’re considering to hire this law firm, i suggest you look elsewhere !!!!

a month agoMy husband and I hired Matthew to do a review of his case and to see what his options were to get him released. I should have trusted my instincts with this guy. He talked a good game said he would review my husbands case and let us know what his options are. We paid him and never heard back, tried several times to get a hold of him and nothing! We finally got a call when I emailed him telling him my husband was being considered for resentencing that my husband and I filed before hiring Matthew. He said he was trying to call me but had the wrong number. The call was only to ask for more money 20,000.00 to be exact he gave me a shady sales pitch saying he would put what we gave him towards the fee for representation on the resentencing and we just give him 20,000 more. I should have read the complaint on him on the BBB website before giving him anything someone with the same experience that I had. In conclusion, I declined paying him another dime and asked him to provide the review that we paid for and never got it , The only thing he sent my husband was a bill of charges for phone calls that he said he made to us regarding his case . No case review was ever done he just took our money.
