Mishkenut Mediterranean Cuisine is founded by a superlative chef named Abe Hinnawi. His idea to open up a restaurant has been an obsession since he was a young man. It all started while working with his uncle at a renowned restaurant in a city in West Jerusalem in 1975. This restaurant was mostly famous for local celebrities and government officials. After years of practice and perfection, Abeโ€™s famous entrรฉes are finally being served to everyone. His pristine plates and intricate flavors are mouth watering and superior. From his famous fillet mignon dipped in pepper sauce to his funghi mushrooms to his pink salmon topped with lemon and garlic.

A friend brought me here for a lunch, and I am so thankful he did! The food was really good. We started out with the hummus with Jalapeรฑos, and then had the combination platter. Everything was great, and nothing disappointed! Hal heard it was my first time here, and she made my first experience awesome!! I will definitely be back soon, and be bringing new people to this hidden gem as well. ๐Ÿผ

Hal, the owner, is super gracious every time we dine in. She cares for her customers and cares deeply about her food. The food is delicious and the menu has vegetarian options! Highly recommend stopping in, try the raspberry leaf tea. We canโ€™t get enough of the food!

This was our first experience here. We decided to try it from the reviews we read and we were not disappointed! The owner/chef was outgoing and welcoming. We ordered a sample appetizer and I had the Mish special, my husband had the chicken schwarma wrap. The hummus and baba ganoush were exactly delicious- everything was great. The dining room is cozy and our server was gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant.

I had the Grilled Chicken Thighs and appetizers were Falafel and Funghi Mushrooms. All very tasty.

This restaurant is small, maybe a dozen plus tables, and is exceptionally clean and organized. The place should have a minimum of two employees but is run by one exceptionally competent and friendly lady. She explained she canโ€™t find help that could uphold her standards of quality cooking and service. If you are in a hurry to eat, find a fast-food place, this place is not for you. This restaurant has the best and most unique Mediterranean cooking that I have ever tasted. Everything is created from scratch and what she does with the seasoning: the herbs, spices and her secret ingredients is pure magic. The place might be a little short on ambience but if you want an exceptional Mediterranean dining experience put this place at the top of your list. You wonโ€™t be disappointed.
