Ms. Ishak was born in Cairo, Egypt and moved to America in 1992. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Minor in Legal Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Southern University and was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2016.
During her law school career, Ms. Ishak served as an intern for Chief Bankruptcy Judge Jeff Bohm and worked as a Student Attorney for the Wills, Probate, and Guardianship Clinic helping underprivileged individuals manage and administer their estates. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Best in Legal Writing and Texas Consumer Rights, and was nominated to represent Women in Law by Marquis Who’s Who in America.
Prior to joining Daw & Ray, LLP in December of 2020, Ms. Ishak worked for a civil litigation and criminal defense firm in Houston, Texas handling all aspects of personal injury litigation and criminal defense matters, where Ms. Ishak sat first chair on numerous trials. Ms. Ishak is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Southern District of Texas.
Ms. Ishak’s areas of concentration include personal injury, premises liability, and first and third party insurance defense.
