We specialize in a very traditional Armenian dish called Monta AKA mante, manti, mantee, mantuh.
Established in 1990.
The Yegiazaryan Family has been making delicious cuisines from scratch for over a decade. When you stop by you will be greeted with a red sign marking your arrival, reading, “Better than your grandma’s — she’ll agree!” That’s right, the Yegiazaryans are calling out your grandma, and for good reason. The family will stand side by side each other for several hours and prepare mantra, soups, salmon sandwiches, and more. Their goal is to always serve proudly with best and most authentic meals at The Monta Factory.

2 years agoFood is ok. I've been meaning to stop by for so long so when I finally did, I got a lot of of everything. The Monta are just ok. In my opinion there is too much dough around the meat. You can't even taste it, all I could taste was the spices. I also tried the garlic soup and I ended up throwing it away. Tasted like hot yoghurt to me. I decided to try the Monta burger and that was also disappointing. Again, too many herbs and seasonings, couldn't get any flavor from the meat itself. The only thing that I thought was ok was the cheese boreg. Maybe Armenian food isn't for me but I just wasn't a fan of this place.

2 years agoThis place has a bunch of tasty meals, from sandwiches to monte. Reviewing the chicken sandwich, which is very good. Ciabatta bread and ingredients used are fresh and has nice garlic paste to it. Very filling, quality sandwich. Iโd come here for the monta - their namesake. Had some of their monte for dinner and the monte was very tasty. 5/5 for dinner. If you are looking for a quick monte for dinner, come get it from here.

The wild Alaskan salmon on ciabatta with Aleppo peppers, tahini , sea salt and spring mix is absolutely the best and big enough for two people! And they have Jones sodas!!!! Fuqing goooood quality no high fructose corn syrup! Family owned and youโll no doubt feel the love in the cooking and service. Eat here now you wonโt regret it!!

2 years agoThis is Montaโs second location; their original is located in Pasadena. I am so glad they are able to expand towards Glendale because If you are familiar with the location then you know this city is culturally and ethnically diverse with those of Armenian, Iranian and Lebanese decent! With that said their motto is โBetter than your grandmas- Sheโll agree!โ Manti or pronounced as Monta is a Middle Eastern, European dish which consists of seasoned beef in small squares of dough, pinched at the ends, lined in a tray, baked till crisp finally topped off in a tomato and garlic yogurt sauce. I shouldโve also ordered the their other special the Su Beoreg, a cheese dish or casserole depends on who youโre asking. But I think this would have paired well with the Monta. I just had lunch but I couldnโt pass up the opportunity to try something new. I called in advance and the order was ready in 10 mins, I asked for the sauces to be on the side because I wanted to try each ingredient separately prior to adding the sauces to the dish. The Monta was absolutely delightful, crispy on the out side and very flavorful inside. The garlic yogurt sauce was good unfortunately, the tomato sauce was lacked flavor. Iโm not sure if itโs supposed to taste like that but it needed some seasoning salt. I personally enjoyed the dish with the sauces on the side, when I added to the Monta it made the dish soggy (But Iโm sure thatโs the way its originally eaten) nonetheless, I would love to come back and try the Beoreg and the Salmon Sando!
