3 months agoVery dishonest, unethical and unprofessional business owners. It is sad that this is the only halal slaughterhouse in Tampa. I walked in and asked for the price and mentioned that my budget is 300-400. I was told they had cows for 300-400. One of the workers or owner possibly walked me inside and asked me to pick the cow (that’s the plot), I told him I have no clue and I trust their pick. I was told to wait so they can cut and process it. After several minutes I was told that the price is 1400 because “the cow is big and weighs more”. I was shocked and speechless!! I told them that I specifically mentioned when i first walked in to their store that my budget is no more than 400, they told me it’s too late because they already slaughtered the animal and that I need to now buy at least half of it. I ended up putting it on credit card as debt. They told me to come back tomorrow to pick it up even though they previously told me it would be all done and ready today. Finally they agreed to prepare it and I ended up waiting over 2 hours. And while waiting inside on the bench, they sprayed chemicals and bleaches everywhere which gave me and my wife headaches and persistent coughs. The cough is so persistent that my wife still has it after almost a year now. They cut the beef in such a large cuts in rush. Every time we tried cooking, I’d end up spending half my day trying to trim it down. Half of what I bought is still in the freezer. Come get it for free! The older man and his son (Tunisian or Algerian) whatever they maybe, they need to learn transparency and honesty.

a month agoI have bought 2 skin off chicken yesterday 09/12/2024. Both chickens are stale. Bad smell coming from it. I just thrown them to the trash. Bought weight 4.25 Lbs beef shoulder which I guess is minimum 2 months old. And refrigerated in the showcase temperature. Not in deep freezer. Just wastage of money and time. I traveled from university for the halal meat. And been frustrated. Not tried the prompet yet. Will edit review once the fish is being tried!

2 years agoBe careful buying some boxes or can foods or ingredients they are mostly not into date . When I go to store and buy this stuff no matter what it is the first things I check and look at are these dates. Just not right these products should be off the shelves. Expiration dates tell consumers the last day a product is safe to consume. Best before date on the other hand tells you that the food is no longer in its perfect shape from that date. It may just lose its freshness, taste, aroma or nutrients. It does not necessarily mean that the food is no longer safe to eat but some can be . Still keep things in Shape if they are old pls put them on clearance or let people know about it

2 months agoSlaughtering and torturing animals for reason of Islam or any religion is is sick mentality. God knows you have a hardened, cruel, insensitive soul and doing this for profit, for money, for you. Cows, chickens, pigs, and sheep are by nature very sweet, social, gentle, and intelligent. To post I must select star, but the animals would post signs and cries for HELP as the death smells, sounds, and cruel torture continues.
