a year agoIt's really nice to see a beautiful community center and masjid in Alexandria, VA. Very well organized. Lot is space for any kind of reasonable gathering, and ppl who pray have extra convenience to pray right next to hall. Wudu area and bathrooms were neat and clean. Person was keep cleaning before prayer so it was in good shape. Reservations are available online. There is no interference from any of the management or any volunteers there.

5 months agoEmployees and volunteers are rude, stupid, donโt know what they are doing most of the times. Baby sitting service is horrible. Untrained teenagers are the baby sitters and I saw them beating babies too. They are very good at sucking up money but all the services are very poor. They did not arrange parking at the parking lot during Eid prayer. It was a big shame.

4 months agoShoes!!! When entering the mosque there are shelves for shoes no one is using these shelves. I saw people walking up and down the hall with shoes. Even saw people walk into the bathroom with shoes on and with the wet floor you can see the mud on the floor. There was only one pair of bathroom slippers that I used. These same floors lead to the prayer room. Please make it mandatory people take shoes off at the entrance of the mosque! This should be basic etiquette. I walked the floors barefoot and went into the prayer room. What if the floor I walked on had dirty shoe residues, the sad thing is no one seemed to care! Only giving 2 stars cause the mufti gave a nice speech and someone accepted Islam that day. Letโs do better please and take action on this!

5 months agoWent for a graduation party in this spacious facility few years back, but finally had the opportunity to see the whole facility this Ramadan during Magrib and iftaar. It provided such a calm yet festive atmosphere, especially for the kids! While I believe not many can afford the Islamic school expense here in general, it is such a great facility for whoever can! We will definitely be back for prayers and community events.
