I ordered from Too Go to Go, and it wasn't bad. I got a variety of treats from my surprise blind bag, and to be frank they are too sweet for an Asian palate, yet I've grown to like the taste of traditional treats of the Middle East. The coconut treats are tasty. Oven timing could go for slow and lower to allow better caramelization.
Iโm starting to wonder whatโs happening with our local businesses these days ๐ค. Unbelievably, this is the second time Iโm writing a negative review this week for what used to be one of my go-to spots. And now, the food from this place actually made me sick ๐คข! Every year, I look forward to visiting this well-known Middle Eastern dessert shop in Bay Ridge during the holly month of Ramadan to indulge in their unique sweets made especially for the month. But this time, I was utterly dismayed by the steep drop in quality and added carelessness. My order was charred and burned to bitterness, then I was shocked to discover that the edges of my square sweets have milted plastic on it as shown in attached photo .. For a $40 worth of goods, this is definitely not the way a regular customer should be treated or even any customer. Hate to negatively review you guys, but I hope this will wake you up and assure a better food quality in the future.
Iโve been here 2-3x and desserts are always delicious. They have a wide selection of desserts and I believe they have good prices as well. Sister in front is helpful and patient.
Best kunaffe and baklawa Iโve had in my entire life. The pastries taste so good youโll want to sit there enjoying every bite deep in thought, giving your whole attention to the sweetness taking over your senses.
Also love how the establishment is open about their support for palestine. Flags everywhere, pictures of the occupied territories, jars of olives.
I will visit every time i go to new york from now on.
