Oakland Islamic center , established in 1990, is a not-for-profit organization currently located in the heart of downtown Oakland, near downtown. Wa’al-hamdulillah, our Masjid, has become one of the most famous and most visited Masajid in the bay area. Additionally, it has become “The Castle of Da’wah” for non-Muslims bringing many of them, through its Da’wah program, into Islam.
Since its opening, the Masjid has been offering various services to the Muslim community. Some of these services are:
Five (5) Congregational Salahs (Jammah) every day, seven days a week. Hundreds of brothers and sisters gather here to worship Allah (SWT).
Congregational Friday Sermons (Ju’mmah) where more than 300 brothers and sisters, who come from all over Oakland and its surrounding area in unity to praise Allah (SWT).
Daily Iftar and Taraweeah prayer during the month of Ramadan.
Islamic education on: Tajweed Al-Quran, Tafseer Al-Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Sirah and Arabic language.
Hajh seminars and trip arrangements for Hajh.
Da’wah program.
Our mission is to advance cause of Islam and serve Muslims in the San Francisco Bay area as to enable them to adopt Islam as a complete way of life.

a month agoMy favorite masjid in the Bay Area. They have lessons between Maghrib and Isha everyday. The community here is great and very active. This masjid has helped me grow and learn the most due to how active the members of the community are in teaching

9 months agoThis is a very lovely masjid which is upon the Qur'an and Sunnah according to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the rest of the Salaf (The Companions, Tabieen, taba'tabieen). Clean and organized. Upon the haqq (truth). They have downstairs for men and upstairs for women.
