Although the Old Jerusalem Restaurant was born in 1976, the authenticity of our Middle Eastern cuisine dates back over 5,000 years to the days of Abraham. All of our chefs are experts in preparing the finest Middle Eastern dishes, which people enjoy in such biblical cities as Jerusalem and Beirut.

5 months agoVery comforting Mediterranean food in the heart of Old Town. The veggie combo plate was a great starter, featuring delicious baba ghanoush, falafel, and more. Their Greek salad with shawarma was refreshing with delicious lamb Shawarma pieces. The restaurant has a cozy, homey vibe that made for a very enjoyable dinner.

4 months agoIt is a nice place to sit and the food is decently ok but I have had Shawirma many times and it just didn't do it for me. It was cooked like a burger patty more or less and tasted like a burger. My pita fell apart as soon as I picked it up. If you are really hungry and need your falafel fix it'll take care of you but you probably won't walk away and plan to come back imo.

a week agoThis restaurant is amazing! Our waitress was so friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend. Best rice I've ever had. Can't go wrong with your order.

a year agoCan't recommend: overall there was nothing that bad about this restaurant but unfortunately flavors were underwhelming for me. Had the vegetarian sample salad platter and meat sample platter. The deserts were okay. As others mentioned all food tastes homemade for better and worse, but it just did not do the job for me and I think there are better places around with middle eastern food, though while sitting I've heard a few people expressing to waiters how they love the place and come there multiple times a week.

a year agoSolid place in Old Town for Mediterranean food. Ordered the hummus, baba, and kefta platter with a side of garlic sauce. While the hummus was slightly disappointing , everything else was fantastic and at a solid price point. The service was attentive and great.
